Meet Them Monday!

This week, we'd like you to meet Meagan Mitobe, Junior Vice President of Auxiliary VFW Post 1481.

Meagan is a fresh face, having been an Annual Member of the VFW Auxiliary for just over a year. Her favorite thing about the VFW is the impact it has had on veterans and all the support it provides them.

When she's not helping veterans, you can find her taking care of her crayon eating husband and newborn daughter, going to concerts, or working in IT.

Thank you, Meagan, for your dedication, leadership, and service to our veterans and our community!

The Veterans of Foreign Wars will not pull the ladder up behind us.
As service members, we were taught one fundamental principle: leave no one behind.

The Take Care of American Veterans Act does not honor the longstanding tradition of taking care of ALL veterans—not just those who served before us, but those who will come after us.

Our obligation doesn’t end with our own benefits or our own generation. We have a responsibility to protect the promises made to every veteran who follows.

We honor the contract by keeping the ladder down.
We honor our service by leaving no one behind.

📚 Grades 6–8
Write a 300–400 word essay for a chance to earn scholarships up to **$5,000!**

🎙️ **Voice of Democracy**
🎓 Grades 9–12
Record a 3–5 minute audio essay and compete for more than **$2 million** in national scholarships, including a **$35,000 First Place Scholarship!**
