Ogden City residents, businesses and patrons have a chance to review the proposed FY 2026-2027 balance budget on Tuesday, May 26 from 7pm to 8:30 inside the Municipal Building on the third floor.

This is right after Council's work session at 4pm, which will include the budget proposal presentation by Community and Economic Development.

This budget proposal includes highlights from all six of that department's divisions: Economic Development, Community Development, Planning, Building Services, the Ogden Airport and Cultural Services.

The following open house is a space where the community can ask questions and get clarification on the FY26-27 budget that includes NO tax increase.

Come be a part of the process of deciding the city's future!

Parking is evolving in downtown Ogden.
It’s been a years-long process, nearly FOUR years, but the managed parking system will finally “go live” Friday, June 19.
Here at EcoDev we want to use our social media space to highlight a few of the topics and questions Ogden businesses have reached out for us to address.
Here is the official parking map highlighting where kiosks are, which areas are paid and which are still free, where the ADA stalls are located and what rates employees and patrons can expect to pay.

Ogden City’s Community and Economic Development Department will present its proposed FY2026-2027 budget to the Ogden City Council on May 26 during a work session.

Aligned with Mayor Ben Nadolski’s balanced budget proposal, which includes no proposed tax increase for residents, CED’s proposed budget reflects a focus on fiscal responsibility while continuing to support infrastructure, neighborhood programs, economic development and long-term planning efforts across the city.

Through strategic consolidations, restructuring and operational efficiencies, CED reduced its proposed budget by approximately half a million dollars compared to last year.

Over the past year, CED divisions continued advancing projects and initiatives throughout the community, including airport growth and infrastructure improvements, housing and neighborhood programs, business expansion projects and the completion of Plan Ogden.

IT’S HERE, IT’S HERE!! 🎉

Started in the summer of 2024, Plan Ogden kicked off with community engagement and that involvement continued throughout the two-year process with hundreds of residents showing up, sharing ideas and leaving comments at meetings across the city.

Plan Ogden is Ogden City’s 25-year vision for the future-- a general plan that helps guide decisions around transportation, development, business, housing, open space and more.

Now, the plan is entering its final stage before heading to the Planning Commission and City Council.

You can view the draft RIGHT NOW and, over the next 30 days, share your comments and questions. This is not the final adopted version, it's the draft that will be reviewed, discussed, potentially revised and hopefully adopted by both the Planning Commission and City Council.

Want to learn more in person?

Join us for the Plan Ogden Showcase on June 24 at 5:30 p.m. inside historic Union Station. The event will include a presentation from Ogden City Planning covering the process, what we heard from the community, how we got here and what comes next for this 50-year land use vision.

is a story of resilience, grit and innovation—Beehive Meals founder, Allyse Jackson, is that story.

Facing an unsure financial future at the peak of the COVID pandemic, Jackson, at home with two kids, wrote a list titled “Ways I Can Make Money”—one of those items was meal prep.

Not even 10 years later and Jackson, with her husband Adam, is running one of Utah’s fastest- growing companies, repeated winner of Best of State awards and listed on the annual Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing companies nationwide.
Not to mention their stuffed pork chops are perfection.

Last week Beehive Meals made Ogden its official home! We are excited to add the momentum behind Beehive Meals to this city at the Ogden Business Exchange, strengthening our history of manufacturing but also the workforce and economic future for the community.

Welcome, and congratulations on your new facility in Ogden!
