Your one-stop small business information facility located in Ogden’s Downtown Central Business District in the newly renovated American Can Complex. Mentor and Workshop Partners – BIC operates in partnership between Ogden City, Weber State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE). The BIC hosts free, professional, one-on-one busines
s consulting with SCORE and SBDC counselors. Loans – Through the BIC, the business community also has access to a variety of financing vehicles to assist them in their endeavors to become successful. Clients are able to apply for an Ogden City Small Business Loan, utilizing federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Business Resource Library – the BIC facility offers a comprehensive business resource library with numerous publications, videos, and reference guides for business start-up and expansion, including many Spanish publications. Meeting Spaces – The Business Information Center facility also offers conference room and classroom facilities for business training events, equipped with the latest high tech audio and visual equipment. Nearly all services offered at the BIC are free, however, minimal fees may occasionally be charged on some workshops to cover the cost of supplies. Computer Workstations – There are also a number of computer workstations available to the public with easy to use software to assist clients in business plan writing, business publications, marketing plans, and many other small business-related topics.
