It's crazy to say it, but next week is the last week of the school year!

It's important to note that Monday and Tuesday are both normal schedules- students will be in all their usual classes. The Students Awards will also take place after school on Monday at 6:30 in the gym.

On Friday, students may come in for any final business, but all students will need to be out of the building by 12:35

Congraultations to Xanti Cabrera for winning Best Actress at the Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards for her role as Javert in Les Miserables!
Xanti is an exceptional actress, vocalist, leader, and student. She will now represent DaVinci and the State of Utah at the Jimmy Awards in New York this summer where she will get to work with and learn from industry professionals on and perform on Broadway.
From her first lead role at DaVinci as Ti Moune in Once on This Island to many notable roles such as Regina George in Mean Girls, Alice in Alice by Heart, Percy in The Spitfire Grill, Bea in Something Rotten, and Eurydice in Hadestown, just to name a few, this has been a long time coming!

Thursday! Come to the Summer Slam Rock Band Concert at 6:00 in the courtyard!

See Davinci guitar legends like Titus Woodbury, Mason Fenners, Mouse Murrison and Jordan Aliteri shred so hard it'll melt your face. Groove to the wicked beats of drummers and bassists like Zack Nielson, Gerard Hernandez, Ben Ricks and Hiram Solis. Listen in awe at the sweet voice of Vegas Dragon and the Austrailian Punk drone of Seth Hathaway. And see David Goggi being David Goggi

Admission is free!

The Rock Band concert will be in the gym if the weather is bad. Mr. Lemon is not responsible for loss of hearing or head aches. Please head bang responsibly.

This week was Teacher Appreciation Week- and our teachers go above and beyond in so many ways! It's impossible to encapsulate all they do, but we do appreciate and value them immensely!

✨DaVinci Dragons Daring to Dazzle✨

Vegas: Vegas has really worked hard to go from very good to amazing. He has reflected on his work in class and sharpened his math skills, his on-time~ness, and his ability to look forward and handle multiple big things happening at once.

Vincent: Vincent consistently reflects on their learning, actions, and personal growth. Though naturally quiet and reserved, they have shown meaningful progress in expressing their thoughts with both teachers and peers. They approach challenges with honesty and self-awareness, regularly considering what strategies help them succeed and where they can improve.

Daxton: Daxton is just the best person to see every morning! He is kind, helpful, courteous, polite and just a awesome person to have in class. He takes responsibility for himself, his work and his actions. He is a student that I look forward to working with and know we can have a productive student/teacher engagement every time!!! Looking at ALL of his High Citizenship marks , I know I am not alone in thinking that Daxton is a wonderful student who upholds our Davinci Values.

Louis: Louis has developed notable skill and aptitude during the continuing exploration in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine. He is very engaged in the subject, and has been one of the more studious students in the class. He has demonstrated consistent effort in retaining the extensive knowledge required, including anatomy, physiology, sports psychology, nutrition, injury diagnosis/assessment, and initial treatment for injury classifications.

Josephine: Josephine is so funny, so admirable, so uplifting, so human. She is always on her game, doing her darndest to increase her talent, her acting skills, her theatrical knowledge, and her musical ability.

Tristan: Tristan saved Les Mis! He filled a vital role last minute, and excelled- he has a natural knack for acting! Wonderfully emotive, disciplined, respectful, kind, reliable, hard-working... Tristan was everything we needed to make up for lost time and pull off a powerful performance!

Today is Principal Appreciation Day and we want to take a moment to acknowledge all of our admin who spend their takes encouraging both staff and students.
Mrs. Anson, Mrs. Stephens, and Mr. Post lead the school, mentor staff, foster student success, work with the community, and so much more! We would be lost without them and we are SO grateful for each of them every single day!

✨DaVinci Dragons Daring to Dazzle✨

C**t: Not only does C**t compete at his best, he encourages and helps his teammates during group competitions. C**t often sees corrections made during competitions as a stepping stone to future success and as an opportunity for growth, rather than a punishment.

Ruth: Ruth comes prepared and is excited to hear about what we are going to do that day. She is a friend to everyone and I can see the positive influence she has on those around her! I love how incredibly creative she is and how she gives her everything to execute her brilliant ideas! I also appreciate how Ruth comes to class with a smile that brightens everyone’s day, including mine. She is never afraid of hard work and is open to how she can improve.

Miranda: Miranda has consistently been improving all year long! She has shown great leadership in class, with her friends, and in cheer (especially mini cheer!). She has a high standard for herself and is trying to achieve the most out of her life. Miranda has the sassiest personality, asks great questions, and will keep engaging until she understands.

Gabi: Gabi is always doing everything she can to help in the classroom. She helps her peers when things are hard and always does her best work! I wish every student could be as dedicated and helpful as Gabi! She is going to be a great leader as an adult, and I can’t wait to hear about all of the amazing things she does with her life!

Harper: Harper puts in high effort each class period. That effort shows her improving consistently in all class skills, and regular improvements in fitness and ability. Her hard work has demonstrated an aptitude for many of the sports covered in class. She always demonstrates excellent sportsmanship and has a positive attitude each day.

Elias: Even though he likes to joke, he is aware if something crosses the line and is quick to apologize or stand up for someone. He is very polite in the way he approaches life, with please,
thank you, and lots of patience for others. Elias is just a kind human being who is aware of the world around him.
