I know I haven't posted a lot this election, but I wanted to take a moment and thank all of you who have continued to support me. Tuesday is election day here in Utah and there are a lot of municipal candidates who could use your support. I am one of them and I appreciate all that you guys do. It's Election Day! If you haven't voted yet, you can still drop your ballots in the ballot box located in the east parking lot of City Hall. Don't put them in the mail; they had to be post marked with yesterday's date and will not be counted.
If you didn't receive a ballot, you can still vote by visiting a Vote Center. The closest Vote Center to South Ogden residents is at the Pleasant Valley Library, 5568 Adams Avenue Parkway, 84405.

In honor of Will Rogers' birthday, today, I thought I'd share a quote that is attributed to him. This it especially applicable to to this election cycle. We often think that our elected officials are good at what they do, and perhaps they are, or were in the past, but maybe they've become stagnant or comfortable in their chairs.

I'm here to tell you that it's time to shake things up and get things moving. Our elected officials need to pay more attention, be more accountable, communicate better, care more, work harder, be wiser, think more, try something different, look forward, plan for tomorrow, not live in the past. For as Will Rogers put it so very well, "Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there."

Remember to get your mail in ballots post marked by this evening or drop them in a ballot box by tomorrow evening. GET OUT AND VOTE!

My friends, it's time to vote. Ballots for your local municipal elections should be in your mailbox. I know that most of you reading this are friends and family that do not live in my area, but I would encourage you to get that ballot of your junkmail pile and vote.

People often ask me why I want to get in to politics, and to be quite frank, I hate politics. But at the very core, municipal politics is where things got done. The decisions that have an impact in your own back yard start at the pen mark you put on that ballot. From the pothole in your street, to the new stoplight on the corner, those decisions are made by your friends and neighbors that you elect into city office. If you're ticked off at how things are run in your city, change it. I know things can be done better in the City of South Ogden, so I'm running or City Council.

For those of you who live in South Ogden, get out your ballot and vote Jeremy Howe for City Council. Tell your friends and neighbors, share this post, make a phone call, send a PM, help me spread the word. We only have two more weeks to get the vote count up. Help me make a difference in our city.
