Tuesday, September 8, 2026
-7:40AM. Officer responded to a report of scissors in the intersection of 1st St and Walnut St. The caller had removed them but was concerned that maybe they had been left intentionally. Officer confirmed that the intersection was clear of any hazards.
-10:20AM. Officer conducted a welfare check on an individual in the 600 block of Haws Dr who hadn’t been heard from in several days. Officer made contact and confirmed that the subject was ok and was just having phone issues.
-11:10AM. Officer took a report earlier in the morning regarding an assault and threat occurring between juveniles that had occurred over the weekend near the 700 block of W Sycamore. All involved parents were notified and spoken to. The investigation is ongoing.
-5:37PM. Officer assisted with a medical call at the Community United Methodist Church.

-8:30PM. Officer provided a vehicle unlock in the 500 block of W Mulberry St.

Thursday, September 10, 2026
-10:17AM. Officer returned a phone call regarding an assault. This was believed to have occurred within the City of Boone. Boone PD was notified.
-7:53PM. Officer responded to a report of a suspicious door-to-door salesman in the 400 block of N 1st St who was asking to come in and demonstrate cleaning products. There was a delayed call and the officer was unable to locate the salesman. There was a representative with Kirby in town who had a peddling permit.

Friday, September 11, 2026
-7:44AM. Officer took a report of 3 loose dogs near the 200 block of S 1st St. Officer recognized the descriptions and attempted to contact the owner with no success. While trying to locate the owner it was also discovered that the owner’s kids did not show up to school. This led to a welfare check and the kids were later located and verified as being safe.
-9:25PM. Officer assisted with a medical call at the Ogden Football Field.

Saturday, September 12, 2026
-11:02AM. Deputy responded to the 500 block of NW 7th St for repeated 911 calls. It was discovered to be accidental dials from a man mowing his lawn.

🇺🇸 Never Forget.

25 years ago, our country was changed forever.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We remember their families, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless people who stepped up to help in the days that followed.

Here in Ogden, we know the importance of community. We know what it means to check on a neighbor, lend a helping hand, and stand together when someone needs us. That sense of community is something worth protecting and never taking for granted.

As a police department, we especially remember the law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice that day.

We also remember the unity that followed. For a time, Americans put aside their differences and stood together as one.

Today, let’s remember not only what we lost, but also what we found in each other.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

- 12:30PM. Officer took a report of a motor vehicle collision that had taken place earlier that morning in the high school parking lot.

-9:24AM. Officer provided a vehicle unlock in the 800 block of N 1st St.
-10:30AM. Officer contacted a homeowner in the 100 block of W Mulberry St regarding an overgrown lawn and concerns of abandoned cats.
-1:21PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of SW 8th St.

Wednesday, September 2, 2026
-11:08AM. Officer located 32-year-old Austin Musser, of Ogden, in the 400 block of W Walnut St. Musser had an active arrest warrant out of Story County. Musser was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Boone County Jail.
-11:43AM. Officer met with a citizen who had some questions about his driving status.
-12:02PM. Officer returned a phone call regarding questions about operating a golf-cart in town.
-10:35PM. Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of NW 2nd St. It was somebody using the Baptist church parking lot to sleep for the evening.

Thursday, September 3, 2026
-7:56AM. Officer returned a phone call to a concerned citizen who believed they may have unlawfully passed a school bus north of Ogden earlier that morning. Officer explained the code to the caller and made sure it was understood. No complaints had come in from the bus barn.

Friday, September 4, 2026
-8:12AM. Officer and deputy responded to a burglary alarm at Medicap Pharmacy. It was a false alarm due to the fill-in pharmacist’s code not working to disarm the alarm.
-8:25AM. Officer responded to the 200 block of SW 2nd St to take a report of bullying that had been occurring after school in the City Park. Officer received permission from all involved parents to talk to the elementary aged students and work towards resolving the conflict.
-10:01AM. Officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked strangely at the Ogden Caseys. By the time the officer arrived the vehicle had moved on.
-3:26PM. Officer received a report of animal neglect from the Boone Area Humane Society who had responded to a residence in the 100 block of W Mulberry St to rehome some cats. The investigation is ongoing.
-5:02PM. Deputy assisted with a medical call at the Ogden Fareway.

-1:14PM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of NW 7th St.

🚧 ROAD WORK NOTICE – TONIGHT 🚧

The Ogden Street Department will be out this evening (Thursday, September 3, 2026) around 7:00–8:00 PM doing some road painting.

They’ll be:
•Painting the yellow center lines on South 1st Street
•Repainting the railroad crossing at 1st Street & Walnut Street (northbound lane only)

The work may create a little noise and minor traffic disruption, but nothing is expected to be too disruptive.

Please use a little extra caution when traveling through these areas and give our Street Department crew plenty of room to work.

-5:18AM. Deputy assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of E Walnut St.
-9:15AM. Officer took a report of 2 loose dogs near S 1st St and E Division St. Officer located the dogs near the 200 block of S 1st St, recognized them, and told them to go home. The dogs then ran home to the 300 block of S 1st St, and the officer let them back inside.
-2:14PM. Officer responded to a request for a welfare check on an individual who had been sitting in a vehicle at the park for an extended period of time. Officer located the male in question and found him talking on the phone.

-4:54PM. Officer and deputy responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 300 block of SW 4th St involving a car and an e-bike. Minor injuries were sustained by the bike rider who had rode into the back of a car.

-7:10AM. Officer and deputy responded to a report of 2 dogs at large near E Mulberry St and SE 2nd St. The dogs had already returned home to the 300 block of S 1st St by the time law enforcement reached the area.
-11:25PM. Officer assisted with a medical call in the 200 block of E Division St.

-4:39PM. Report of a dark gray Chevrolet Malibu driving recklessly last seen near SE 2nd St and E Division St.
-5:40PM. Deputy returned a phone regarding a dog in the 400 block of NE 4th St who is believed to not be properly vaccinated.

Nearly a year ago, Christine Adreon Martin reached out about starting a Coffee with a Cop program here in Ogden. Since then, we’ve done our best to meet once a month at different venues around town.

Sometimes there are 15 of us, and sometimes there are only two. But every gathering is filled with good conversation, hot drinks, and sweet treats!

Keep an eye out for our next meeting—Christine does a great job getting the word out—and we hope to see some new faces join us!

Monday, August 17, 2026
-3:41PM. Officer took a phone call from the Missouri State Police regarding a subject in Ogden who had an active arrest warrant from 2014 that they were willing to extradite. Officer ultimately located 40-year-old Lacee Treloar, of Ogden, in the 700 block of W Division St. Once the warrant was confirmed the officer transported Treloar to the Boone County Jail. Treloar was also charged as a fugitive from justice.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026
-11:13AM. Officer took a phone call from the Kansas Bureau of Investigations regarding a tip they had received from someone they believed still resided in Ogden. Officer informed the Bureau that this individual had recently moved to Kansas.
-11:19AM. Officer returned a phone call to Storm Lake PD regarding questions about an investigation they were working on.
-3:03PM. Officer responded to a disturbance at the Ogden Middle/High School. The officer did not end up having to intervene as everything was calm upon arrival.
-5:07PM. Officer and deputy assisted Ogden Fire with a structure fire in the 400 block of W Sycamore St.
-9:38PM. Officer and deputies responded to an automated crash alarm near the Highway 30 offramp. It was discovered to be a false alarm due to a dropped phone.

Wednesday, August 19, 2026
-9:31AM. Officer took a report of a dog at large near NE 4th St and E Elm St. The officer was delayed in responding and was unable to locate the dog.
-4:34PM. Officer responded to a report of a barking dog near NE 4th St and Locust St.
-5:58PM. Deputy located a loose dog in the 600 block of SW 4th St and returned it home.
-8:15PM. Officer responded to a complaint of kids on a 4-wheeler causing a disturbance near the 600 block of W Locust. Officer located the children in the 200 block of NW 7th St and reminded them about staying on their own property and being respectful of neighbors in the evening hours.
-9:40AM. Officer took a report of a scam that happened overnight. The victims reported that they received a phone call around midnight stating that their adult son was currently in the Polk County Jail and that they needed to pay his bail. The scammers sent the victims cash requests as well as a Walmart barcode that they could use to direct deposit the funds. The victims were directed to a Walmart in Ankeny where they were instructed to deposit money to a company calling themselves "Pretrial Release". After the money transfer was completed they received an additional text message from the scammer with a picture of a duck and a rude message about the victim's wife. The following phone numbers were used during this scam:

The victim was given contact information for Walmart’s fraud department as well as the website FraudReport.ftc.gov to fill out a report with the Federal Trade Commission.
Please remember: Scammers often use fear and urgency to get people to act before they have time to think. If you receive a call claiming a family member is in jail and needs money, do not send money or provide financial information. Hang up and independently contact the family member or the appropriate law enforcement agency using a known, legitimate phone number to verify the situation. Legitimate agencies will not pressure you into sending money through cash requests, gift cards, Walmart barcodes, cryptocurrency, or similar payment methods. When in doubt, slow down, verify, and contact law enforcement before sending any money.

Thursday, August 20, 2026
11:50AM. Officer took a report of a person going through the dumpsters each night at the Ogden Elementary School and then dumping his own trash in the school’s dumpster. The suspect was located later that night and was asked not to return.
-3:05PM. Officer assisted with contacting the owner of the carwash in the 100 block of W Veterans Dr as a patron had accidentally lost her car keys in the vacuum.

Friday, August 21, 2026
-8:10AM. Officer responded to a fire alarm at the Ogden Elementary School. It was a false alarm due to dust from construction work.
-10:32AM. Officer conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 200 block of S 1st St whose friend had not heard from him in a while. Officer contacted the subject by phone as he was not at home.
-11:25AM. Officer conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 100 block of SW 7th St whose sister had not heard from her in months. Officer made contact with the subject and encouraged her to call her sister back.

-10:56AM. Deputy conducted a welfare check on an individual in the 200 block of W Cherry St. Deputy made contact with the subject and spoke with family members about some suggestions on how to move forward with providing help.
-3:50PM. Deputy responded to a report of a scam in the 600 block of W Walnut St. The victim had gone to the bank and asked for 12 $1,000 cash orders that they then shipped via FedEx. The victim stated that the scammer pretended to be a federal agent and used threats of pending arrest warrants to get the victim to pay. The victim ultimately made contact with FedEx and their bank to cancel the shipment and payments.

-10:00Am. Deputy responded to a 911 call that originated in Greene County of a female asking for help while in a car with her significant other. Deputy made contact with the vehicle at the Ogden Caseys and separated both occupants to begin interviews. The female who had made the 911 call stated that it was an over-reaction and she didn’t need any assistance. There was no evidence of a crime so the deputy allowed the two to keep traveling.

Officer followed up with each of these numbers. Once the person on the other line realized the scam had been exposed they began insulting the officer's non-existent wife and made rude comments about the officer's mother. They then began quacking at the officer and referring to all victims as "ducks".

The victim was given contact information for Walmarts' fraud department as well as the website FraudReport.ftc.gov to fill out a report with the Federal Trade Commission.
