☀️ Summer is officially here, and so is the WSD Summer Lunch Program! 🍔🥦

Today (June 1st) kicks off our free summer meal program to ensure our community's kids stay happy, healthy, and fueled all summer long. We love supporting our families, and our amazing Child Nutrition team is ready to serve!

Here is what you need to know to head out today:

⏰ When: Monday–Friday from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM (June 1st – July 23rd).

❌ Note: We will be closed on June 15th and July 3rd for holidays.

📍 Where: Open to the community at six of our elementary schools:

Burch Creek Elementary

Roy Elementary

Lakeview Elementary

North Park Elementary

Riverdale Elementary

Washington Terrace Elementary

💰 The Rules:

Meals are FREE for all children ages 18 and younger.

Adults can eat for $4.75 (Cash only, exact change preferred).

All food must be eaten inside the school lunchroom.

Before our high school seniors walked across the graduation stage, our youngest innovators were already proving that the future of STEM is incredibly bright in Weber School District! 💡✨

We spent an unforgettable two days at West Field High School for the 34th Annual STEM Olympiad. Brilliant 3rd–6th graders representing all 30 of our elementary schools came together to showcase their critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative spirit.

After months of hard work and school-level competitions, these students put their minds to the test across six rigorous events:

Krypto & Tile Trials – Fast-paced math strategy and puzzle-solving

SET & Pentominoes – Complex pattern recognition and spatial reasoning

Experimental Design & Engineering – Hands-on science and creative construction challenges

The energy in the fieldhouse was electric as families cheered on their student-scientists. Plus, the Mini STEM Expo was a massive hit, featuring incredible interactive booths hosted by our own high school clubs, athletic teams, and community partners.

We are so proud of these young mathematicians, engineers, and scientists. Thank you to the teachers, coaches, and parents who supported them every step of the way!

Before the graduation caps flew and summer break officially started, our elementary schools brought the ultimate energy to West Field High! 🏃‍♂️💨

What an incredible two days at the Weber School District’s annual Iron Kid 2026 event! Our amazing 3rd–6th graders showed serious athleticism, teamwork, and spirit in a grueling relay race featuring running, cup stacking, and frisbee throwing. And a massive shoutout to the rockstars who crushed the individual hula-hoop challenge, spinning for as many minutes as their grade level! ⭕️

We were thrilled to see our Unified teams back in action, representing multiple schools! Witnessing the power of inclusion and friendship as students with and without disabilities competed side-by-side—embodying the spirit of Special Olympics Unified Sports—was truly inspiring. The cheering, the effort, and the smiles were unforgettable!

A HUGE thank you to our dedicated organizers, enthusiastic participants, and supportive parents who made Iron Kid 2026 a massive success. We are so proud of our students!

The room was room was filled over and over with proud families, loyal friends, and the ultimate fan clubs cheering on these incredible individuals. Every single graduate who walked across that stage has a unique story of resilience, grit, and overcoming obstacles. They didn't just reach the summit—they proved what is possible with determination and heart. ❤️

🎉 Huge congratulations to the Two Rivers High School Class of 2026 on their graduation yesterday! 🎓

Two Rivers provides an exceptional, personalized educational experience tailored to individual success, boasting a phenomenal 95% graduation rate. But graduation is about more than just fulfilling credits—it’s about the profound personal journeys of our students.

During the ceremony, therapist Jay Eldredge shared a beautiful, memorable message inspired by a trip to Australia. He noted that the emu and the kangaroo—the two animals featured on the Australian symbol—share a unique trait: they are physically incapable of taking a step backward. They are built purely to move forward.

To our graduates: you have officially turned your tassels and stepped into your future! Like the emu and the kangaroo, keep your momentum going and always keep moving forward.

A massive congratulations to all of our graduates, especially the many students who received the True Trapper Award yesterday. Named after the school's mascot, these students have shown immense daring, stamina, and independence—overcoming hardships to forge a path that others will be lucky to follow. Celebrating the Roy High School Class of 2026! ✨🎓

What an unforgettable, emotional, and absolutely joyful day for the Weber School District community! Today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, we officially welcomed the incredible Roy High School Class of 2026 into the ranks of our proud alumni!

From the opening notes of the prelude by the Roy High Orchestra to the final, thunderous beats of the Royal Drumline Send Off, the energy in the room was unmatched. Our graduates have worked tirelessly, and today was all about celebrating their dedication, resilience, and bright futures. 🌟

We were privileged to hear from some truly inspiring voices during the commencement program:

2026 Salutatorian Ashley Packer delivered a powerful message about the strength of their shared foundation, encouraging graduates to embrace life's unexpected twists with confidence and grace.

2026 Valedictorian Angel Holquin-Bedel challenged the class to look boldly toward the future, reminding everyone that they possess the ultimate power and potential to leave a lasting, positive mark on the world.

Senior Class President Kallie McCracken reflected beautifully on the unique bond shared by the Class of 2026, reminding her peers that the community and unity they built at Roy High will stay with them forever.

Principal Brenda Hart shared heartfelt remarks expressing deep pride in the graduates' accomplishments while anchoring them in the lifelong values of Royal pride, community, and integrity.

Weber School District Board Member Wyle Williams officially accepted the Class of 2026, marking their transition from high school students to tomorrow's leaders.

The ceremony was also filled with extraordinary talent! The Chamber Choir moved us with the "Star Spangled Banner," and the Royal Choir & RHS ASL Signers' performed a beautiful, unified performance of "Go the Distance".

Yesterday, the stadium was glowing with pride as we celebrated the West Field High School Class of 2026 Graduation! 🎓🧡 From start to finish, the energy of the Longhorn herd was unforgettable.

Here are a few unforgettable highlights from the commencement ceremony:

A Moving Musical Performance: The WFHS Concert Choir delivered a beautiful, stirring rendition of Paul Simon's "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Honoring Academic Excellence: We proudly celebrated Valedictorian Ansley Stone alongside Salutatorians Hallie Hess and Ava Cash. These top scholars have demonstrated outstanding dedication, academic rigor, and leadership inside and outside the classroom.

Words of Wisdom: Student speaker Coulter Shakespeare shared an inspiring message about our shared humanity. He noted that while we all face different enemies in the same battle, we are fundamentally united in our pursuit of joy, fulfillment, and belonging.

Owning the Orange: Principal Mike Martini lauded the historic accomplishments of this second graduating class, highlighting the 16 associate degrees and over $2.2 million in scholarships awarded. He centered his message on the student-led theme "Own the Orange," comparing it to a classic Western brand rooted in Honor, Excellence, Respect, and Determination.

A Bold Send-Off: Senior Class President Ava Cash delivered the closing remarks of the night, sharing a powerful childhood mantra with her peers: "shine bright and be bold". She challenged the Class of 2026 to unapologetically be themselves, work hard for their passions, and actively create the futures they want to live

🎓 Warrior Pride: Celebrating the Weber High School Class of 2026! ❤️⚔️

Tonight was an incredible milestone for Weber School District as we celebrated the Weber High School Class of 2026! These exceptional students received their diplomas tonight, marking the end of an amazing high school chapter just as Weber High prepares to enter its historic 100th year this coming fall.

The evening was filled with beautiful traditions, including a powerful and moving performance by the A Capella Choir, who sang a stunning rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone/Climb Every Mountain." 🎶

Our student and administration speakers left the crowd with unforgettable words of wisdom to carry into the next chapter:

Valedictorian Madison Donley reminded her peers that their unique high school experiences have fully prepared them for the future: "Not only did we survive, we made it look intentional." Everything they've learned will go with them!

Salutatorian Cael Wilkinson gave a nod to Weber's rich history since its founding in 1926, while offering a heartfelt thank you to the parents, teachers, and support systems who made this night possible. He challenged his classmates: "Don’t back down. Don’t sell yourself short... You are who you make yourself."

Senior Class President Ellie Read highlighted the true meaning of their time together, noting that high school is where they truly discovered who they are, far beyond the grades on a transcript. She urged the class to step forward with "no regrets!"

Principal Ryan Kachold closed with a profound rowing metaphor about finding "the swing"—the moment a team pushes past their perceived limits together through hard times. His golden advice for the future? "The world needs people who have been through hard things... Find your people and trust them."

🎓 Celebrating 10 Years of Innovation: Congratulations, Class of 2026! 💜

Today, the WSU Austad Auditorium was filled with pure joy, pride, and a few tears as we celebrated a historic milestone: the 10th anniversary graduation ceremony for Innovation High School! "Ten Years, One Nest, Forever Ravens" perfectly captures the spirit of this incredible day. 🦅✨

Our student speakers blew us away with their maturity, humor, and deep wisdom:

Valedictorian Kelsey Larson encouraged her peers to embrace the unpredictable future, reminding them that "life is a journey, not a race".

Valedictorian Alexis Roediger brought a smile to everyone's face with a brilliant analogy about sloths, wisely noting that "speed isn't the same thing as success" and urging her classmates to keep climbing at their own pace.

Salutatorian Baylee Willborn, a remarkable first-generation college student who earned high honors in college before even graduating high school, shared a powerful message : "You deserve to be proud of yourself for simply being here."

Principal Nicki Slaugh shared some mind-blowing achievements from this year's senior class, proving just how much our Ravens have soared. A staggering 95% of these seniors earned college credit, 58% earned credentials through Weber State, and 37% earned credentials through Otech!

As Principal Slaugh beautifully told the graduates : "Today is where your book begins. The rest is still unwritten."
