Now that the Utah legislative session has wrapped, it is time for me to formally begin my campaign to represent House District 10. Please join me for my campaign kick-off next Wednesday, March 11th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Z’s Sweets (formerly The Gandy Dancer) next door to the Ziegfeld Theater at 3920 Washington Boulevard.

I am looking forward to meeting supporters, old and new, and to sharing my vision for representing you in the legislature. Come with your friends, neighbors, questions, opinions, and enthusiasm. We will supply food, drinks, and ice cream. Together, we can restore and expand northern Utah’s Little Blue Dot!

It was so excited to celebrate the opening of the Seager Memorial Clinic new location. Since 1988, our community’s volunteer team of health care professionals have been using their skills to provide for those without options. I loved learning how Dr Seager was honored by President George HW Bush for being part of a Thousand Points of Light.

Today’s Day of Action hits close to home. I have cared for countless patients whose prenatal, postpartum and overall healthcare depend on Medicaid and ACA coverage. What a privilege it is to gather today at the George Wahlen Ogden Veteran’s Home for the Memorial Day ceremony alongside our brave veterans and the Wahlen family. George Wahlen dedicated his life to supporting and championing those who have served our great nation, and it's a fitting tribute to celebrate his legacy with all of you today.

I’m currently in one of the original 13 colonies. Our founders were clear in establishing checks and balances when they created our new government, and they explicitly rejected the idea of a monarchy. It is evident that the people need to stand up against behavior that resembles that of a king.

Today was a day filled with mixed emotions as I wrapped up my second term representing House District 10. It's hard to believe how quickly time has flown! The camaraderie and dedication of the legislative staff always inspire me, and today was no different. They were diligently preparing at the Capitol for the upcoming session, ready to tackle new challenges and continue their great work!
