⚾ OFFUTT BRASS AT CWS ⚾

If you plan on coming to Game 10 of the College World Series, you will see some familiar faces playing the National Anthem! June 16th will be Heroes Night at Charles Schwab Field, and who better to pay respect to our heroes than your USAF Heartland of America Band?

FUN FACT: Our keyboardist, A1C Farris was an umpire before joining the Heartland Band! He went from calling strikes to calling tunes!

👋 FAREWELL TSGT KERSEY 👋

Please join all of us in saying "see you later" to our audio engineer, TSgt Kersey, as he moves to Japan to perform with USAF Band of the Pacific - Asia. He has been an integral member of our team for the past four years, also serving as Facility Manager and supervisor to some of our junior enlisted Airmen, among several other responsibilities.

TSgt Kersey did wonders for not only our sound, but also for our morale, and we wish him and his family all the best in music, adventures, and donuts as they begin this next chapter!

📸 THE ADVENTURES OF MRS. COPPOC 📸

Our Section Chief of Publicity, Mrs. Coppoc, recently traveled to Virginia, Miami, and Wichita with three different Air Force Bands to work with their publicity sections and take photos of their tours. She even went on TV with Raptor! We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with our DoW civilians!

Fun fact: Mrs. Coppoc is a veteran! She served as a clarinetist in the US Army.

In an incredible joint effort with the United States Air Force Academy Band and The Kansas City Symphony , Raptor wowed audiences at Union Station in Kansas City! It was an unforgettable evening bringing world-class music and military precision together to honor our nation’s heroes. 🇺🇸

🎺 MEMORIAL DAY AT OFFUTT 🎺

On this and every Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to this country.

Written in 1862 by Brigadier General Daniel Butterfield, Taps has been played at virtually every military funeral since 1891. These 24 notes bring a feeling of sincerity and gravity to an already powerful ceremony.
