Honoring Those We Have Lost
Today, the City of Odessa held its Third Annual Memorial Wall Ceremony to honor and remember seven former and retired City employees who passed away last year. Each dedicated a part of their lives to serving Odessa and our community.
We honor and remember:
Bailey Martin — Odessa Police Department | 3 years of service
Jon Hubbs — Odessa Police Department | 30 years of service
James Woolf — Purchasing Department | 28 years of service
Merita Sandoval — Community Development | 28 years of service
Nancy Marin — Parks Department and Code Enforcement | 5 years of service
Susan Millican — Billing and Collection Department | 20 years of service
Virginia Colleen Cox — City Manager’s Office | 13 years of service
During the ceremony, their families were presented with yellow roses as a symbol of remembrance and appreciation for their loved ones and their service to our community.
Through their years of service, each of these individuals played a part in shaping the City of Odessa. Their legacy lives on through the people they worked alongside, the residents they served, and the lasting contributions they made to our community.
We are grateful for their years of dedicated service, and we will continue to honor their memory as we work together to build a better Odessa.
The City of Odessa Memorial Wall is located at City Hall, 411 W. 8th Street, and is open to anyone who would like to visit and pay tribute to those who have served our City.
