Rainbow Room - Odessa Community Partners for Children The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) provides a staff member and the actual location for the Rainbow Room.

The Rainbow Room in Odessa is an emergency resource room located at Child Protective Services (DFPS) to assist with the children that are brought in to CPS/foster care. The coordinator and the Community Partners board members network with the community as ambassadors of both the agency and the volunteer board, interacting with caseworkers to facilitate action that will benefit the children and the

ir families. It is the goal of Community Partners to increase community awareness regarding child abuse and help children grow up to be healthy, productive adults.

The folks from Phillips 66 in the Permian Basin showed up in a big way for our annual "backpack stuffing" assembly line today. Their volunteers made it possible to handle our goal of 500 for the upcoming school year. They also brought a BIG check to assist us in our mission to care for those in CPS/foster care. We are so very grateful for their help and the financial assistance.

Chiquitas Lemonade Stand had a three-step plan to assist with our school supply drive. First: sell lemonade. Second: use the $$ to buy some school supplies.
