AeroCare 5 extends our heartfelt condolences to the members of Odessa Fire Rescue and the family of Lieutenant Isai Huerta following the tragic line-of-duty death that occurred while crews were battling a structure fire on Sunday evening. Lt. Huerta was a true hero.

Please keep Lieutenant Huerta’s family, the members of Odessa Fire Rescue, the other injured firefighters, and all those impacted by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.

There are no words sufficient for the heartbreak felt when we lose members of our flight family doing what they dedicated their lives to — serving others in their greatest moments of need.

🚔 ES**RT NOTICE – TRANS AERO CREW 🚔

*** 1250 PM UPDATE: The procession has left the staging area and is westbound on US Highway 380 from Capitan Gap Road. ***

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting an honor es**rt for the Trans Aero Crew, at approximately 11 am this morning (5/16), and will be traveling from the area of US Highway 380 and Capitan Gap Road, westbound on US Highway 380 through:

📍 Capitan
📍 Carrizozo
📍 Bingham
📍 San Antonio

The es**rt will then proceed onto Interstate 25 en route to the Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Anyone wanting to join along the route is welcome but please be mindful to join at the tail end of the es**rt.

Motorists should expect temporary traffic delays along the es**rt route and are asked to use caution and remain alert for emergency vehicles and personnel assisting with the procession.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the cooperation of assisting agencies and the patience and respect shown by the public during this es**rt operation.

Today we celebrate the women who answer calls for others while also answering the calls of motherhood. Your strength, compassion, sacrifice, and love reach far beyond the aircraft and into the lives of your families, patients, teammates, and community every single day.

To all mothers, whether pet mom, step mom, waiting to be a mom and our bereaved moms, thank you for the countless ways you care, comfort, lead, and love. The impact you make is immeasurable, and the world is better because of it.

Not all angels have wings… some just wear flight suits, survive on caffeine and sarcasm, and land helicopters in farmer’s fields before sunrise. 🚁💉

Equal parts adrenaline, dark humor, compassion, and “we’ll figure it out.”

Somehow y’all can run a scene, fly through weather, save lives, and still argue over where to stop for snacks on the way back.
