If you would have asked me 6 months ago if I would ever run for any political office I would have said no. Why would I want to put myself, my family, my business out there for everyone to judge? But the more I talked with people, I could see we all had very similar concerns and fears for our children’s education and what was happening in our schools. I quickly realized I wasn’t alone. I decided to run because someone had to stand up to prove that most us felt the same way.

I knew from the start this wasn’t going to be easy by any means. I am extremely humbled by the outpouring of support all of you have shown me. From a simple post like, share, letting me put a sign in your yard, to stopping to talk, a text you name it I appreciate it all. Thank you❤️❤️

One of my goals if elected to the Oconto School Board is to empower parents to speak up. Too many times when talking with parents they are either afraid to say something when they have concerns or they don’t feel like their concerns are truly being listened to and addressed. No one knows what is best for your child better than you. I encourage parents to speak up so we can give your child the best. I strongly feel parents should have a say in what is going on with their child’s education. I promise to reduce the communication gap between parents and the school. The biggest question I get asked about is critical race theory. CRT is so hard to physically prove if you don’t know what to look for. However I do believe it exists, I believe it’s everywhere, not just a school issue.

CRT was created to cause devision based on race, gender, beliefs, etc. bringing strong hatred and anger between friends, family and neighbors in the community. I also strongly believe its the underlying current of why there is so much bullying amongst our children. They see it on social media between adults, it’s on tv, it’s everywhere! Children learn by example. We NEED to come together as a community to combat this.
We need to learn to compromise as a community in respecting each other differences.

Yesterday I attended the meet and Greet at Patriot, hosted by the Oconto County GOP. There were school board candidates from suring, Oconto falls, Pulaski, and myself from oconto. There were 2 candidates, from different district who have been on their school boards for more than 10 years. After each spoke, one thing I saw they had in common was they were putting the school and the school finances before the kids and what the parents wanted for their kids.

I promise if you elect me in April, I will fight for what’s best for our children. I will stand up with and listen to what parents want for their children!

Today I had a very awesome opportunity to attend a ceremony honoring Mr. Richard Jenkins, an Oconto WWII Vet who received the honorary commemorative metal of merit in liberating Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia also showed their appreciation for Mr. Jenkins’ service by sending two representatives.

When you see and meet American heros like Mr. Jenkins it truly leaves me speechless. There aren’t enough or even finding the right words to express how truly thankful I am to the men and women who risk everything for our freedoms.

As a granddaughter of a WWII vet and my husband’s grandfather was from Czechoslovakia, this ceremony had a special place in our hearts, and we had to show our appreciation from the moment we heard about it. Thank you AmVets, American Legion and VFW for putting on such a beautiful ceremony! You did a fabulous job!
