HAPPY WORLD BEARD DAY

We’re not saying the Ocoee Police Department has the best beards in all of Florida Law Enforcement… but we’re also not not saying it. 😎

Beard game: strong.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND - Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

If you’ve been drinking or using drugs, don’t drive. Make a plan, designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or find another safe way home.

Ocoee Police and law enforcement agencies nationwide will be increasing enforcement this holiday weekend to keep impaired drivers off the road.

Zero fatalities. Zero excuses. Let’s make this Labor Day weekend about fun, not tragedy.

School has been in session for a few weeks, but we’re still seeing too many violations in our school zones. Drivers speeding and failing to watch for pedestrians in crosswalks.

Slow down, stay alert, and watch the crosswalks. A few extra seconds can make a big difference in keeping our children, families, and school staff safe.

🚨 FRAUD ALERT🚨

The Ocoee Police Department has continued seeing reports of scammers targeting residents.
Scammers call victims pretending to be from a bank or another agency and telling them to withdraw cash from their account and hand it over to someone else or deposit it into someone else's account.

If you receive a call like this:
-Hang up immediately.
-Contact the Ocoee Police Department at 407-905-3160.

Stay safe.

Head up. Phone down.

Whether you're a child, teenager, or adult, staying alert when crossing the street can help prevent a serious crash.

Remember:
• Put the phone away
• Skip the headphones
• Stay aware of your surroundings
• Use crosswalks

A few seconds of attention can make all the difference. Stay safe, Ocoee!

100 MPH. In a 45 MPH zone. At 3 a.m.

This is not a movie. This is a real traffic stop in Ocoee.

As our officer explains in the video, at that speed, something as simple as hitting a rock or having a vehicle pull out of a plaza could send this car flipping, with potentially deadly consequences.

Slow down, Ocoee.

Labor Day weekend is for making memories, not making a bad decision behind the wheel.

The Ocoee Police Department is joining the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and law enforcement agencies nationwide in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, running August 19 through September 7.

If you drink, plan a safe ride home. Designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or make another transportation plan before you go out.

And if you see someone who has been drinking about to drive, step in and help them get home safely.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. Let’s make sure everyone gets home safely.

Cue the dramatic music…

Your car door is NOT a vault. Your center console is NOT a safe. And that “I’ll only be inside for a minute” strategy? Criminals would like to thank you for your generosity.

The good news: You can make your vehicle a lot less appealing to thieves with a few simple steps:

-Lock your car doors.
-Take your valuables with you.
-Don’t leave anything tempting in plain sight.

Help us prevent vehicle burglaries in Ocoee.

Happy National Dog Day

We’re celebrating Ocoee PD's very good dogs who spend their days working hard to help keep Ocoee safe: K9 Kane, K9 Viper, and K9 Zoey.

These K9s put in the work all year long, and we’re incredibly grateful for their dedication, loyalty, and all the ways they serve alongside our officers.
