We are so proud of the hard work and preparation these students have put in to get to this point! They represented us so well in each competition!

Our Literary team will compete in state competition at GMC in Milledgeville tomorrow. Our first competition begins at 9:00 in the morning, and our last competition begins at 1:45 in the afternoon. We have a long day ahead of us!

Thank you to Cantrell’s Tax Service for sponsoring our trip, helping feed our team tonight, and purchasing our new shirts! We appreciate your support so much!

Thank you also to our wonderful bus driver, Libby Yawn, who has given up two weekends this month to help take these students to competitions!

Mrs. Abby Griffin and Ms. Chloe Cantrell are proud to announce that Irwin’s Literary students are the Region 2A Champions for a 4TH YEAR IN A ROW!

We are so proud of these students and the time and effort they have put in to prepare for today’s competition!

The individual awards are as follows:

1st in international extemporaneous speaking-Jada Eason

1st in domestic extemporaneous speaking-Marlee Hamilton

1st in duo interpretation-Rhiana Escobar and Elliott Oliver

1st in boys solo-Jesten Purvis

1st in girls solo-Laila Chaney

2nd in humorous solo interpretation-Audrey Peacock

2nd in dramatic solo interpretation-Marlee Hamilton

2nd in literary analysis essay-Rhett Griffin

2nd in boys quartet-Jesten Purvis, Walker Tucker, Christian Davis, and Jayvion Dent

2nd in girls trio-Laila Chaney, Caroline Hodnett, Piper Phillips

All 1st place finishers move on to the state competition at GMC in Milledgeville on Saturday, March 21st.

Congratulations to our One Act Play cast and crew! We got 3rd in region today!

Our very own Anizelle Verwey got Region Best Supporting Actress!

Ryleigh Goff, Ryleigh McIntyre, and Audrey Peacock were named to the Region All-Star Cast!

I couldn’t have asked for more from these students today! I am so proud of them and their hard work. This is a very special group who I am thankful to have had with me this season.

Congratulations to our One Act Play cast and crew! We got 3rd in region today!

Our very own October Norris got Region Best Actress!

Clay Childers and Jenna Thomas were named to the Region All-Star Cast!

These kids have had a very busy week! We had our public performance Tuesday to get the nerves out, reworked/perfected some things Wednesday at dress rehearsal, and then competed today in Brooks County. I couldn’t have asked for more from these students today!

I am so proud of them and their hard work!
