Ocheyedan Public Library

Ocheyedan Public Library FIZZ, BOOM, READ Summer Reading
Wednesday afternoons 1-2 pm June 18 & 25 and July 2 & 9

Preschool Story Hour monthly every third Thursday 10-11 am

The library was established in 1912 by the Women's Christian Temperance Union. In 1937 it became tax supported and known as the Ocheyedan Public Library. It has been located in several buildings since its inception, the first being in a room above McGowan's Store. Later it was located in the old wooden town hall and then upstairs in the present town hall. The current building was built in 1970. Th

e library has over 600 patrons from both the town and rural area. We have a collection of books, periodicals, audio books and DVD's that totals over 13,000. We have Wi-Fi and five public use computers. Recently, in addition to establishing this Face Book page, the library has also joined WILBOR which enables patrons to download books to their personal readers or computers. There are excellent children's programs which include holiday parties and the annual Summer Reading Program. If you haven't visited the library in a while, please stop by. We'd love to show you around!
