⚠️ **NOTICE: CLOSED FOR JUNETEENTH** ⚠️

The Marine Nature Study Area will be **CLOSED** on **Friday, June 19, 2026**, in observance of Juneteenth.

While our 52-acre living laboratory is taking a brief recess, the salt marsh itself never rests! Our local "ecosystem engineers"—from the hard-working mud fiddler crabs aerating the intertidal mud to the ribbed mussels filtering over a gallon of water per hour will be out there keeping the estuary pristine. Even our resident Saltmarsh Sparrows will be busy tending to their high-marsh nests.

We will reopen on **Saturday, June 20, 2026**. Come back then to walk the boardwalks, visit our brand-new interpretive center, and check out the local fauna!

*Reminder: Please protect our fragile ecosystem by always staying on designated paths and raised boardwalks*
