ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

Hellmers Ave. West and Dewey Ave., between Calhoun and LaFontaine, will be closed Thursday, June 11, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for paving on Hellmers Ave. and at the intersection of Dewey Ave. and Hellmers Ave.

Please plan alternate routes and expect temporary traffic disruptions. Thank you for your patience.

POSTPONED: Porter Avenue Road Closure

The scheduled road closure on Porter Avenue, from Russell Avenue to Dewey Avenue, has been postponed.

The closure is now scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026, through Friday, June 12, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The road will reopen each night.

This closure is necessary to replace a 10-inch water main. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work to improve infrastructure in Ocean Springs.

The City of Ocean Springs is now accepting applications from local citizens interested in serving on city boards and commissions.

Current openings include:

Historic Preservation Commission
Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals
Parks Advisory Board
Coastal Transit Authority Representative
Planning Commission, Ward 2
Planning Commission, At-Large

Applications are available online here:

The deadline to apply is 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026. Applications should be turned in to the City Clerk or the Mayor’s Office at City Hall.
