Due to forecasted thunderstorms and a high chance of lightning this evening, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tonight’s concert featuring The Extraordinaires.

The safety of our attendees, volunteers, band members, and the band’s instruments and equipment is our top priority. After closely monitoring several weather forecasts, the Town of Ocean Isle Beach Recreation Department and the band, who are traveling a long distance to perform, have agreed that postponing the concert is the safest decision.

We appreciate your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience. We will announce the rescheduled date as soon as it has been scheduled.

Thank you for your understanding.

💧 WATER UPDATE (August 31, 2026) 💧
Thank you to everyone who helped us reduce peak demands for water from ’s public water system this summer! 👏 Based on your efforts, as well as improving weather conditions, we have moved back from a Stage 2 Mandatory Water Conservation Alert to a Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation Alert. Learn more: https://ow.ly/NJ3R50ZhI0V

We ask that you continue to and follow our recommended irrigation schedule. Following this schedule will help to even out peak demands and keep water pressures higher during daylight hours, improve storage for firefighting capability, reduce water loss due to evaporation, and reduce irrigation system adjustments if/when mandatory water conservation measures are required in the future.

The CCFRA - Coastal Carolina First Responders Association and the Town of Ocean Isle Beach invite you to join in reflection and remembrance as we host a 9/11 Memorial Honor Tribute Ceremony at 2:00pm at Town Center Park (11 E. Second Street).

🥪First Responders will be provided with a free lunch at 1:00pm on a first come-first served basis.🥪

In our nation's history, few days have had such an impact in shaping America as the devastating September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States. It is essential to never lose sight of the enduring legacy of 9/11 – and to remember those who lost their lives, to honor the innumerable lives affected by the events on that tragic day, and to appreciate the incredible bravery of First Responder heroes. 🇺🇸
