We are people with diverse interests, but a common thread - we care about the natural resource we have available in Silver Springs State Park. We are bike riders, boaters, equestrians, campers, dog walkers, photographers, hikers, birders, nature enthusiasts, parents a

What a fun Meet and Greet today for our two featured art photographers Linda Petzl Wilinski and Jade Cave and their respective shows on otters and the Everglades! A fairly steady crowd of Park guests and friends enjoyed the two gallery shows with cookies and water on a very hot afternoon. The Drawing of Chance yielded two lucky winners. Thanks to Joann Hagen and Todd Jonsson for all their help! It was a busy day at Silver Springs State Park with a Junior Ranger Jamboree, and weddings, as well as our event hosted by the Friends of Silver Springs State Park. The shows run until July 6.

Join us today, Sunday May 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room (Saupp Center, across from glass bottom boats, down hallway) to hear conservation photographer Linda speak about The Life of Otters. The Welcome Center and Gallery will be open an hour before and after the speaker's presentation. Silver Springs State Park

Save the date this Saturday, May 16, anytime 2-4pm, for our MEET & GREET! We are blessed to feature TWO talented artists Linda Wilinski and Jade Cave.

Linda's art features "The Life of Otters" and Jade's art features "The Beauty of the Everglades."

At the MEET & GREET we will hold a chance drawing with an opportunity to win a print by Jade Cave, and a copy of a children's book on otters by Linda & Bob Wilinski.

ALSO, SAVE THE DATE Sunday, May 17th at 3pm to hear Linda speak about the life of otters. It'll be held in the meeting room across from the glass bottom boats.

BOTH EVENTS ARE FREE with $2 per person park admission (or better yet, become a FRIEND OF SILVER SPRINGS STATE PARK and get 12 free admissions with up to 8 people each time! ($192value)
