With increased travel and time behind the wheel, it's important to remember that the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day is known as the 100 Deadliest Days—the time of year when teen driver crashes and fatalities typically increase.

🚨 The “100 Deadly Days of Summer” are here. 🚨

The 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are considered the most dangerous time of year for teen drivers. According to studies by AAA and the The Florida Safe Teen Driving Coalition, fatal crashes involving teen drivers sharply increase during the summer months — earning this period the name: the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer.”

📱 No distractions.
🚗 No speeding.
🛑 Always buckle up.

Parents, talk with your teens before they hit the road this summer. One conversation could save a life.

The Ocala Marion Transportation Planning Organization had the pleasure of joining Marion County MSTU for the Marion County Citizens Academy, and what an amazing time we had! 🎉

We truly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with community members, share information about transportation planning in Ocala Marion, and highlight the many projects and initiatives happening throughout our area. The engagement, great questions, and positive feedback made the experience even more exciting, and we are so grateful for how well the information was received! 🚦🛣️
