Alpha Care provides daily activities that include, but are not limited to; community cleanup, gardening, music, movies, and crafts, socializing with friends, exercising, cultural trips and independent living skills. Our activities are always educational and stimulate self- awareness, encourage socialization while providing the physical, rehabilitative, and social services that improve an individual’s level of independence. Our activities are chosen by the individuals, they share their interests and make suggestions and we make it happen!

🍂 A little bit of everything made for the absolute best kind of day here at the center!

🎳 Some of us hit the lanes for some bowling (and a whole lot of strikes and spares), while a dedicated crew headed over to 🥋Tracy’s Karate Studio to kick things up a notch. Back at home base, another amazing group whipped up a delicious lunch for everyone and got us all in the autumn spirit with some cozy fall crafting.

What a fun action-packed Labor Day week we’ve had so far!
We kicked things off with a trip to McDonald’s for coffee, conversation, and a great chat about job interview strategies and dress-for-success attire ☕️👔
Back at the center, we stayed cool with an epic indoor snowball fight for some fun exercise ☀️❄️
To wrap it all up, today we welcomed the wonderful Oberlin Fire Department! They gave us awesome fire safety tips and let us check out the fire truck 🚒 🔥

🎉 What an incredible day out for our sports club!
Today, our crew headed down to Cleveland for an action-packed adventure of friendly competition and games. Everyone brought their absolute A-game! 🥇🥈🥉
Meanwhile, back at the center, a creative crew was busy striking a completely different kind of chord. While the athletes were busy breaking records, our music lovers were breaking it down to Musical records—jamming out, exploring instruments, and creating sweet harmonies all day long. 🎶✨

We had a busy day filled with learning and hands-on fun! This morning, we put our hygiene knowledge to the test with a fun game of Hygiene Bingo—answering questions and learning along the way! 🧼✨

This afternoon, we switched gears and tried something new as we learned the basics of crocheting! 🧶 We loved seeing everyone give it a try and practice a new skill. 💙

🌽🍂 We’re getting ready to say goodbye to summer in style! 🎉 We had so much fun making corn stalk decorations for our End of Summer Prom this Friday! 💃🕺

We also had a small group enjoy a fun and educational outing to the Birds & Reptiles Exhibit at Carlisle Reservation 🦉🐍, while another group hit the lanes for some bowling fun at AMF! 🎳

So many fun memories made today! 💛
