We're thrilled to announce the Wright Library Seed Library!

Wright Memorial Public Library is proud to offer free seeds to the community — herbs, fruits, vegetables, flowers, and native plants.

Help the library grow by donating clean, labeled, non-GMO seeds. Learn more about what and how to donate at https://www.wrightlibrary.org/content/seed-library

We invite you to stop by, pick up to 3 packets per visit, and start growing!

Find the Seed Library on our Main Level. The seeds are housed in a Re*****on Rand card catalog, recently returned to us by the family of former Wright Library director Thelma Yakura. Its new base was handcrafted by a local Oakwood teen from a backyard oak tree.

Thank you to our sponsors for making the Seed Library a reality: the Wright Memorial Public Library Foundation, Oakwood Historical Society, Prairie Moon Nursery, Burpee, and Eden Brothers. A special thank you to librarian Karla Schlageck for her work on this project.
