📚 **READ. LAUGH. MAKE STORYTIME FUN.**

Our September **READ Poster Series** continues with **Sara Newman, Branch Manager of the Antwerp and Payne Branch Libraries!**

Sara’s featured favorite is *Croc O’Clock* by **Huw Lewis-Jones**, illustrated by **Ben Sanders**.

Get ready to meet one VERY hungry crocodile! 🐊 *Croc O’Clock* is a silly, colorful counting adventure that puts a fun twist on the familiar rhythm of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” As the clock keeps ticking, Croc keeps eating—and his appetite just keeps getting bigger!

It’s the kind of book that reminds us why reading with children can be so much fun. There’s counting, repetition, laughter, bright illustrations, and plenty of opportunities for little readers to join in.

And don’t forget—**September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!**

A library card gives your family access to shelves full of children’s books just waiting to become a new favorite, along with programs, digital resources, and so much more.

**One library card. Thousands of stories. A lifetime of reading.**

Stop into the Paulding County Carnegie Library or one of our branches this September and get your library card!

📚 **READ. DISCOVER. FIND YOUR NEXT FAVORITE.**

Our September **READ Poster Series** continues with **Jamie Lammers, Library Clerk at the Antwerp Branch Library!**

Jamie has a true passion for books—and she’s also **one of our very own local authors!** With her knowledge of different genres, authors, and great reads, Jamie is always a wonderful person to ask when you’re wondering, **“What should I read next?”**

Next time you stop into the Antwerp Branch, ask Jamie about some of her favorites. You might just leave with a new favorite of your own!

And did you know your library card takes reading **beyond the bookshelf?**

With digital resources like **Hoopla Digital**, your library card gives you access to eBooks, audiobooks, and more—right from your device.

September is **Library Card Sign-Up Month**, and one little card can open up a whole new world of reading.

Books on the shelf. Books on your screen. Stories wherever you go.

Stop in this September and get your library card!

Friday Staff Pick — Solito by Javier Zamora

This week’s Friday Staff Pick comes from Kris Stallkamp at the Payne Branch Library, who chose Solito: A Memoir by Javier Zamora. Kris says it was a very good book, filled with moments that helped restore her faith in humanity.

Solito shares Zamora’s remarkable true story of leaving El Salvador at just nine years old and making an approximately 3,000-mile journey through Guatemala and Mexico toward the United States to reunite with his parents. Along the way, people who began as strangers became an unexpected family, showing him kindness, protection, and compassion during an incredibly difficult journey. It’s a powerful story about courage, hope, and the good we can find in one another.

And since September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, there’s no better time to discover a great book! Stop by the Payne Branch Library or any Paulding County Carnegie Library location to get your library card and check out Solito. You can also browse our collection and discover more great reads anytime at mypccl.org. One little library card can lead you to some pretty incredible stories! 📚
