ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION.
On Friday, May 29th, the district will be providing a virtual graduation ceremony via it’s social media outlets. The virtual ceremony will be made up of video clips edited together to resemble a traditional ceremony. It will include the speeches that are traditionally given at graduation. It will also include the naming of the members of the class, presentation of the class, and changing of the tassels. Seniors are encouraged to watch the virtual ceremony in cap and gown with their family members at home.
In addition to the virtual ceremony, we have also scheduled a traditional ceremony for July 10th at 7:00 pm. Hopefully, by the fourth week of June, we will know what, if any, restrictions will be in place for the month of July. Those restrictions will determine if we can have the ceremony on July 10th and if we can, what restrictions will be in place for that ceremony.
If in July there is still an executive order that prohibits groups from gathering, this ceremony will be cancelled and there will not be a traditional ceremony this year.
