Since its inception we have been providing Emergency care and transport for the residents of Oakland 24/7 free of charge. Our membership consists of your neighbors, friends, daughters, sons, moms, dads. We volunteer our time to come to your assistance in an emergency. We have our business meeting the first monday of every month and a training meeting the third monday of every month. In addition to emergency response we also provide CPR instruction to the Fire Dept and Police Dept and other organizations in town. We provide tours and first aid demonstrations to our local boy and girl scout troops. We provide mutual aid to our surrounding towns. We provide Emergency Medical Coverage during our town events such as the town carnival and the Memorial Day Parade. We provide, rehab for our Fire Dept when they are battling a fire. As volunteers we are also residents and members of this community and as such have a strong level of caring and dedication. Thank you to all who have supported us and for all continued support!

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders and everyday heroes who answered the call in our nation’s darkest hours.

We are especially proud to recognize Oakland First Aid Squad member Vikki, who served at Ground Zero in the aftermath of 9/11. Her courage, compassion, and willingness to serve during such an unimaginable time represent the very best of the EMS community.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Every year, your generosity keeps the Oakland First Aid Squad ready to answer the call—24/7, 365 days a year.

This year’s Annual Campaign is especially important as we face rising costs and the need to repair one of our ambulances to keep it safe, reliable, and ready to respond.

We are an all-volunteer organization, relying entirely on community donations to keep our ambulances on the road and our equipment up to date.

📬 Please watch your mailbox for our Annual Campaign letter. Every donation—large or small—makes a direct impact.

Thank you for supporting your neighbors and helping us continue serving Oakland with pride.
