The Garrett County Department of Public Works - Roads Division provides notice to travelers that paving operations will be taking place on Foxtown Road beginning Thursday, June 11, 2026.

The public is advised to expect delays during paving work in progress. Citizens are reminded to exercise caution in and around work zone areas.

The Garrett 250 Birthday Bash: Celebrating America Together is coming to the Garrett County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from noon to 10:00 pm.

We are seeking crafters, artisans, and vendors who specialize in Garrett county-created or locally inspired merchandise to join us.

This patriotic, family-friendly community celebration honors America's 250th anniversary while spotlighting the unique stories, heritage, and spirit of Garrett County.

The day will feature live entertainment, historical demonstrations, food vendors, a biergarten, children's activities, and a spectacular drone show finale lighting up the night sky — creating a memorable experience for all attendees.

Locally made products would be a perfect fit to showcase Garrett County's creativity and craftsmanship amid this special gathering.
