A special thank you to the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce ()for inviting our office to join you on stage and for the warm welcome. We truly appreciate your dedication and hard work in keeping this beloved annual tradition going strong for the community.

Earlier this week, Alameda County Assessor Phong La was pleased to meet with Director General David Chih-Hsiang Wu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco during his inaugural visit to Union City.

During the visit, Assessor La and Director General Wu also toured Re-Teck, a new business in Union City, and learned more about its operations and contributions to the local business community.

It was a wonderful opportunity to welcome Director General Wu, strengthen community connections, and celebrate the relationship between Taiwan and the County of Alameda. A special thank you to the Union City Chamber of Commerce, the Taiwanese American Chamber of Commerce-Northern California, and everyone who helped organize and make this event a success!

Alameda County Assessor Phong La was honored to speak at the Leadership Training for Assessor, Clerk-Recorder, and Registrar of Voters staff from across California.

The training was organized by Yolo County Assessor Jesse Salinas and hosted at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. It was a great opportunity to share leadership experiences, connect with public servants from across the state, and support the next generation of local government leaders.
