10 MILLION MEALS and 10 million reasons to celebrate!

Today, SOS Meals on Wheels SOS Meals on Wheels is reaching an incredible milestone: delivering its 10 millionth meal!

This achievement represents so much more than a number. It represents years of nourishing seniors, creating connections, and showing up for our community, meal after meal, delivery after delivery.

The impact is incredible:

•More than 660 volunteers help keep meals rolling
• More than 530,000 meals were served in the last fiscal year alone
• Approximately 3,000 seniors received meals and support

Behind every one of those 10 million meals are dedicated kitchen staff, volunteers, community partners, donors, and supporters who believe in making sure Alameda County seniors have access to nutritious food and meaningful connection.

CONGRATULATIONS!

What if you knew Oakland beyond your neighborhood, your network, or your industry

Leadership Oakland is for people who want to understand how this city really works, meet the people shaping its future, and build relationships with other professionals who care about where Oakland is headed.

Over the course of the program, you'll step outside your everyday circle and get an inside look at the businesses, institutions, organizations, and people moving Oakland forward.

You'll have conversations you wouldn't normally have. Visit places you might never otherwise see. Meet leaders across industries. And build a network of people who are just as curious about Oakland as you are.

You don't need to be a CEO.

You don't need to have "leader" in your title.

You just need to be ready to learn, connect, and get more involved in the city around you.

If you've been looking for a way to expand your network, grow professionally, and experience Oakland from a completely different perspective, this might be it.

Know someone who should be in this year's class? Tag them.
