Located at the north end of Montclair Village and bordering the Montclair Park, the school enjoys nearly 3.5 acres of campus. Our dedicated, caring teachers are among the finest educators with whom I have ever had the privilege to work. All of our students are excelling academically and socially. We have the most energetic, helpful and considerate support staff of any school in Oakland. Montclair Elementary School is a safe, clean, happy place for children to grow and learn.

We had a great turnout at Back to School night on Tuesday, August 25! The PTA Board was there to greet everyone at their welcome table and provided a lot of helpful information.

Thank you to all the parents who came out to meet their children’s teachers and be active in their learning.

Another huge shout out to Ms. Willa and all the BACR staff for helping take care of the kids and getting them out during the gas leak evacuation. It was chaotic, but everyone was able to evacuate in record time.

Thank you to everyone who attended our MES PTA Meet and Greet on August 17, where many of our PTA Board members met with many parents to discuss our PTA! The meeting was in front of our beautiful garden and the PTA shared cookies and coffee for everyone to enjoy.

Our next PTA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30pm in the MES Cafeteria. Attending any PTA meeting is always free, but to vote on any and all issues discussed, at least one parent must pay the $12.50 PTA.

PTA membership must be active for 30 days prior to PTA meeting to be able to vote. If you paid your 2025-2026 dues, they expire on October 31, 2026.
