On Saturday, September 19th, you can celebrate by using your library card to access many of Maine's state parks free of charge! Simply show your Maine library card at the entrance to any participating Maine state park and enjoy a day of hiking, picnicking or reading in Maine's beautiful state parks.
If you don't have a library card, stop by your local library to get your library card, and open the door to books, audiobooks and DVDs, programs and events, digital resources and more. Free admission applies to day-use at Maine's Maine State Parks and Historic Sites on Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. until closing. The free admission does not apply to: • Acadia National Park • Allagash Wilderness Waterway • Baxter State Park • Maine Wildlife Park • Peacock Beach • Scarborough Beach • Swan Island • Penobscot River Corridor • Penobscot Narrows Observatory in Prospect.
