There is a drop box outside the Oakhurst Government Center at 40232 Junction Drive. Oakhurst - the drop box will be locked at 8pm Tuesday Nov 8th.

If you mail your ballot it must be postmarked Nov 8th- and the post office closes at 4pm, and the last mail pick up in the mail drop boxes are at 3:30 pm

For the past 12 years, I have been an advisory board member for the Regional Occupational Program (R.O.P.) auto shop at Yosemite High School (advisor to both Kent Lincoln and Mike Monahan).

I am deeply invested in serving this community and working with students to improve their future with both excellent academics and practical job training. In addition to college prep, I am also an active supporter of vocational and trade-based education programs. I obtained special certification in my Auto Repair shop so that YUSD students could use it as a classroom for real world observation.

I believe strongly that our schools need to prepare our students to be successful, with or without a college degree.

My name is Charles “BROOK” ALLEN, and I need your VOTE!

Studies show that three out of ten high school students will advance to college, of those three, only one is likely to work in their area of study.

I believe strongly that our schools need to prepare our students to be successful, with or without a college degree.

I am deeply invested in serving this community and working with students to improve their future with both excellent academics and practical job training. In addition to valuing college prep, I am also an active supporter of vocational and trade-based education programs. I obtained special certification in my Auto Repair shop so that YUSD students could use it as a classroom for real world observations.

For the past 12 years, I have been an advisory board member for the Regional Occupational Program (R.O.P.) auto shop at Yosemite High School (advisor to both Kent Lincoln and Mike Monahan). I started my automotive career at Yosemite High which I continued with an A.S. degree in automotive technology and further education in business management.

My wife and I are successful business owners of The Rusty Piston and Lepley Trees in Oakhurst. I understand the importance of hard work, budgeting, leadership, safety, education, and teamwork.

As a resident of the mountain area for most of my life and a student in our local schools, I have strong, supportive relationships with my community, my customers, many teachers and families of YUSD who look forward to having me serve on the board. Having three children that attended our local schools, and knowing a large network of concerned parents, gives me a good grasp on what parents want for their children’s education.

I will do my best to represent the needs of the parents and students and encourage good communication with the district.

I look forward to serving our community by becoming a part of the school board and pledge to use all my experience, knowledge, and patience to help make wise and considerate decisions for educating our youth and for the future for our mountain area schools.

A vote for me will help keep our children, and our future, Mountain strong.
