That’s a wrap on Water Rescue Operations! Congratulations to our 6 firefighters who successfully passed the course! Deputy Chief Colin Claus, Lieutenant Jimmy Wischmann, Lieutenant Christopher Hartman, and firefighters Sadie Snatchko, Nate Wilson, and Tyler Galish. Remember, multiple firefighters from 3 local companies gave up their weekend to voluntarily take this class to help make our community safer! Thank you to Rennerdale Volunteer Fire Department and Oak Ridge VFD South Fayette for your support and dedication. As for the instructors at LVA Water Rescue, our folks didn’t not have enough nice things to say about the class and your professionalism! They can’t wait for boat ops and lines!

Today 18 local firefighters from 4 Companies, including 6 from Oakdale, spent 8 hours of their Saturday attending Water Rescue Operations. The morning classroom portion was held at Company 215 and the afternoon swimming test was held Chartiers Valley School District. Class continues tomorrow at McConnell’s Mill State Park for the practical portion. Thank you to LVA Water Rescue for teaching us!

Thursday night was a big one for a few of our members! Please join us in congratulating Firefighters Nate Willson, Jaden Bres and Associate Member Chloe Snatchko in successfully graduating from West Allegheny High School. Nate and Jaden plan on going right to work and Chloe will be attending Thiel College as a double major in Elementary and Special Education. The world is yours guys, go get it! We are very proud of you all!

As the temps start to climb we are asking our community for help with keeping our firefighters hydrated. We are looking for donations of bottles of water or Gatorade. We try to be staffed 24/7, but in an event we are on a call or are not there, you can leave the water by the man door in the front of the station.

If you are not in North Fayette, all fire departments are experiencing the same needs and would appreciate your donation.
