Yesterday, Jane Finkenbine worked her last day with the City of Oakdale. Her retirement is bittersweet, as we will all miss her, but we could not be more excited for her to start this new chapter and be closer to family. She has positively impacted countless people here in Oakdale; we’ve been so lucky to have her. Thank you for all you’ve done over these last 7 years. We can’t wait to hear how much you enjoy retirement!

We need 3-5 volunteers for our Senior & Family Dinner and Bingo Night!
Wednesday, October 9th, at the Gene Bianchi Community Center. Help us check-in attendees, serve dinner, and clean up! Time commitment is 4:30 - 7:30 (or any time you can give!). Free dinner for volunteers (and you can play bingo, too!)

Ready for some fantastic news?!
Our Gladys L Lemmons Senior Community Center team applied for and received additional funding for one more round of iPad classes!
Attend the 12 week class and keep the iPad! Also included is a 12-month data plan.
Eligibility requirements:
Senior age 60+ (or 50+, with a disability)
Live in Oakdale
You must complete the application, which is available at the Senior Center desk. Not all who apply will be selected, as we must strictly follow the grant guidelines.
Classes start October 8th, and will be held every Tuesday afternoon for 12 weeks.

9 am - 1 pm at the Bianchi Community Center, 110 S 2nd Ave.

40 vendors, door prizes, FREE lunch, health screenings and MORE!
Free shuttle to and from the Senior Center (450 E A St.), provided by our friends at Astoria Senior Living.
All are welcome!

We have exciting news to share!
Our Senior Center received additional grant funds to offer one more Access to Technology -- iPad class!
Classes are weekly, for 12-weeks. Thursday mornings, starting July 11.
Attend all 12 classes and keep the iPad!
Limited to 20 participants. Must be at least 60 years old, an Oakdale resident and not already own a tablet.
Applications are available at the Senior Center front desk. Not all whom apply will be selected for this grant-funded program.
