Due to repaving of parking lots for construction at City Hall, the northmost parking lot will close to the public beginning Friday, September 11. The USPS mailbox and utility payment dropbox will be relocated to the Walton Park north parking lot off Hadley Avenue N adjacent to Upper 17th Street N. An additional utility payment dropbox will also be added at Public Works in the future. An update will be shared when available.

As part of National Co-Responder and Crisis Responder Week, Dunkin in Oakdale (1055 Helmo Avenue N) and the Oakdale Police Department will host a "Coffee with a Co-Responder" event on Tuesday, September 15 from 9 to 11 AM. Come enjoy donuts and coffee while meeting members of Oakdale's new Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) to learn about the important services they now provide to the community. We hope to see you there!

The City of Oakdale is excited to announce that a new Engine 1 will soon be in service! This engine was custom built to accommodate our growing community’s needs and to help respond to a variety of calls for service including active fires. The City Council got a first look at Engine 1 on Tuesday evening. We look forward to sharing more about this exciting addition to the Oakdale Fire Department soon!

The City of Oakdale was recently recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2026 budget. The award reflects the commitment of Oakdale's governing body and staff to meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, an entity must satisfy nationally-recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. This is the second-consecutive year Oakdale has earned this recognition.
