A Garden Trellis Arbor!

Jacob of BSA Troop 93 Uncasville planned, organized, and led the construction of a beautiful trellis arbor for the Allan Louis Loeb Memorial Garden at the K9 Barrett Memorial Animal Control Facility.

With the help of fellow Scouts, family, and volunteers, Jacob created a lasting addition that enhances this special place of remembrance. This project is a great example of Scout leadership, service, and teamwork.

Our Scouts have been busy giving back to the community, and today we’re excited to share another great example!
The Montville Animal Welfare Initiative was in need of a Rainbow Bridge for their memorial garden, and Marcus of Troop 93 stepped up to make it happen as his Eagle Scout project.
This project involved many hours of planning, organizing, fundraising, and construction. Thanks to Marcus’s hard work and dedication, the Rainbow Bridge is now a beautiful addition to the garden and a special place to remember beloved pets.
We hope you’ll stop by to see the bridge, enjoy the new community garden, and perhaps even meet a new furry friend while you’re there.

A special thank you to Sigfridson Wood Products in Brooklyn and Rings End in Niantic for generously donating the lumber and wood sealer that helped make this project possible. Community support like yours helps our Scouts turn great ideas into meaningful projects!

🎉 Troop 93 Court of Honor Tonight! 🎉

What a fantastic evening celebrating the hard work and achievements of our Scouts!

Tonight we recognized: 8 Scouts who earned Scouts Read Sacred Text Awards, 7 advancements: 2 Scouts who earned the rank of Scout, 1 Tenderfoot, 1 Second Class, 1 First Class, 2 Life Scouts, and an impressive 17 Merit Badges earned!

We also witnessed the debut of Troop 93's newest position... "Troop Comedian!" 😂 The laughs were almost as plentiful as the awards!

Congratulations to all of our Scouts for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the values of Scouting. Your hard work continues to make Troop 93 proud.

A special thank you to our leaders, families, and volunteers for supporting these young people every step of the way.

And what better way to celebrate than by finishing the evening with an Ice Cream Sundae Bar 🍨!

🇺🇸 Troop 93 is proud to be part of today’s Memorial Day Parade as we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

From flags waving to scout spirit shining, our Scouts are grateful to stand alongside this community in remembrance and respect. ❤️🤍💙

Service with roots 🌱🦅

Today, scouts from Troop 93 came together at the Montville Senior Center to complete an incredible Eagle Project. The Scouts built 4 raised garden beds and mulched the outdoor garden space, turning teamwork into something that will keep growing long after today.

The Senior Garden crew will begin planting on Monday, using donated vegetables that will eventually make their way into the Center kitchen for daily lunches. From scout hands to garden harvests to shared meals... that’s community in full bloom.

Teamwork was on full display today, and the impact of this project will be felt all season long.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported AC’s Eagle Project and helped make this day a success!

Hey Montville, take a look at what Troop 93 Scouts accomplished last night at Tyl Middle School 🌼

They planted flowers, mulched garden beds, picked up trash, and even hung a bat house to help local wildlife.

Troop 93 was proud to recognize the amazing educators of Montville who make a difference every day! 🍎

This week, we delivered 140 Teacher Appreciation gifts to Tyl Middle School and Murphy Elementary School, along with thank you cards for the teachers and staff at Tyl.

A small gesture for the people who give so much through their time, patience, and dedication. Thank you to all educators for helping students learn, grow, and succeed every day!

Scouting is such an incredible opportunity for kids ages 11–18 to grow, learn, and build lifelong friendships—and our community is lucky to have multiple active troops offering great experiences.

You’ll often see posts from two different troops highlighting camping trips, service projects, hikes, and all the fun along the way—and the truth is, there isn’t just one “right” troop. Each one offers something a little unique, and the best fit is the one where your child feels comfortable, supported, and excited to be involved.

Our troop is proudly youth-led, with guidance and support from dedicated leaders and families. We welcome scouts of all abilities and focus on building confidence, leadership, and real-life skills in a fun and encouraging environment. We meet Tuesdays from 6:30–8:00 at Calvary Chapel in Montville and are always happy to welcome new faces.

If you’re considering Scouting, we truly encourage you to explore the options, visit meetings, and see what feels like the right fit for your family.

Pictures from our Tuesday meeting where kids got to work on their team building and communication skills at supercharged. This coming Tuesday will be at Tyl. planting flowers and cleaning up the grounds.

In honor of Earth Day, Troop 93 spent their meeting time last night cleaning up Chapel Hill Rd. 🌎♻️

Through service to their community and a commitment to Leave No Trace, these Scouts worked to leave their town than they found it, one bag of trash at a time. Happy Earth Day!

Scouts from Troop 93 wrapped up spring break with an incredible day earning the American Indian Culture Merit Badge at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum.

They explored the traditions of the “Three Sisters” planting method, stepped inside a longhouse, and even tried their hand at traditional games. It was a fun and hands-on way to learn history and culture.
