We recently had the incredible opportunity to train at a local residence donated by Tiber Farms. While the smoke might have been artificial, the experience for our crews was as real as it gets. Training in an actual home allows our firefighters to: Navigate real-world layouts: Practicing search and rescue in unfamiliar, tight spaces. Build "Muscle Memory": Working through zero-visibility conditions to ensure we react instinctively during a real emergency. Practice advanced techniques: From forcible entry to hose line advancement in a safe, controlled environment. A massive thank you to Tiber Farms for this opportunity. Donations like this are rare and provide unparalleled training that keeps our community safer.

On Tuesday night our department practiced response techniques for a simulated snowmobile crash. In our community, we are lucky to have so many outdoor recreation opportunities, and we train hard to ensure we are ready to respond when accidents happen in remote areas.
What we practiced:
Locating incidents on wooded trails.
Triaging and treating "victims" in cold conditions.
Utilizing our rescue [UTV/Sled] to transport patients to awaiting ambulances.

Our firefighters have been busy visiting local schools (Ahuco head start, Wyevile and Oakdale) to teach children how to stay fire safe. The kids had a blast learning about:
✅ "Stop, Drop, and Roll"
✅ The importance of working smoke alarms
✅ What to do if they see a firefighter in full gear
