Today at the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Ridge, 4th grade members had the opportunity to hear from Mrs. Kirk from Robertsville Middle School as she spoke with them about the transition to middle school next year.

Moving from elementary school to middle school can feel exciting, but also overwhelming. By helping students know what to expect, ask questions, and build confidence early, we’re giving them tools to succeed not only in the classroom, but in life.

At the Club, we believe supporting young people goes beyond after-school care. We’re committed to helping our members grow academically, socially, and emotionally so they can walk into every new opportunity prepared and confident. We’re grateful to Mrs. Kirk for investing her time in our students and helping them take an important step toward their future!

Due to rain, we are postponing tonight's championship baseball games. Games will now be scheduled for the same time on Tuesday. We will continue to monitor field conditions as we move throughout the weekend and into early next week.

This afternoon, some of our middle school students got their hands dirty for a great cause! 🌱🌼

With the help of one of our volunteer board members, our kids spent the afternoon preparing and planting a variety of wildflowers around our property. Not only will these flowers beautify our campus, but they’ll also support pollinators as we prepare our vegetable garden this summer. 🐝🌻

This was more than just a fun outdoor activity. This was also a hands-on learning experience that allowed students to learn about plants, gardening, and what it takes to help things grow and thrive.

We’re proud of these kids for their hard work and are excited to watch both the garden and our students continue to grow this summer!

🏈 Football preseason conditioning begins NEXT Tuesday, May 19th, at the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Ridge football field from 6:30-7:30!

These optional workouts are a great way for athletes to get active, build conditioning, and get ready for the upcoming season.

⚠️ Important: If your athlete is currently playing baseball, please do NOT miss baseball activities to attend conditioning. We encourage our athletes to finish their current seasons and commitments first.

Not signed up for football yet? There’s still time to register and join us this season!

Athletes must be active Club members to participate.
