Today, we took a little time to celebrate some BIG accomplishments! In our state evaluation system, BLUE means EXCEEDED, and our incredible ORE staff gave us plenty of reasons to break out the blue!

Blue cupcakes, blue snacks, blue drinks - we embraced ALL things blue as we celebrated the hard work, dedication, and heart that helped our C**ts achieve such incredible growth last year.

These results don’t happen by accident. They are the result of a team that believes in our students, pushes them to grow, supports one another, and shows up every single day ready to make a difference.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for helping us celebrate by providing some of today’s treats! We are so grateful for the many ways you continue to support and celebrate our staff.

We may always be RED & BLACK at heart, but today, BLUE looked pretty good on ORE!

We are so proud of this team and so excited about where we’re headed next!

🎉🐴 COLTS ARE LEADING THE CHARGE! 🐴🎉

The state released its official EVAAS data today, and we are incredibly excited to share some AMAZING news about Oak Ridge Elementary!

EVAAS measures how much academic growth students make during the school year—not simply whether they are proficient.

📈 Our performance composite increased from 86.7% to 89.2%!
🅰️ We earned a School Performance Grade of A!
🌟 We EXCEEDED GROWTH for the fourth consecutive year!

This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our incredible staff, and the tremendous support of our families and community. We are so proud of our C**ts!

There is just something special about the first day of school, and we couldn’t think of a better way to welcome our C**ts back! 🐴

This morning, our students entered the building to the sounds of the **Northwest High School Pep Band** and cheers from members of the **Northwest volleyball and soccer teams**

The smiles, the music, the energy, the high fives . . . it was the PERFECT way to kick off a brand new school year!

A huge THANK YOU to our Northwest High School students for getting up early and helping us make our C**ts’ first morning one they’ll remember.

The halls are full again, our classrooms are buzzing, and we are officially underway!

Our Oak Ridge staff was definitely feeling the love today! ❤️🖤

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Oak Ridge Elementary School PTO for starting our morning with a delicious breakfast of bagels, yogurt, and fresh fruit! 🥯🍓

Then, The Summit Church - Oak Ridge treated our staff to a wonderful lunch! We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, kindness, and continued support of our school community.

Thank you to our PTO and The Summit Church for taking such great care of our staff as we prepare to welcome our C**ts back to school! ❤️🐴

Join us for the Oak Ridge Elementary Activity Fair during Open House!

📅 Thursday, August 20
⏰ 4:00–7:00 PM

Families can meet representatives from after-school programs, youth sports, enrichment classes, and community organizations.

📍 Gymnasium: Off-campus organizations and community programs
📍 Cafeteria: On-campus programs and ORE school clubs

Be sure to visit both rooms! The Activity Fair will remain open throughout Open House, including the 5:00–6:00 PM teacher dinner break.

🐴❤️ Welcome Back to the C**t Family, Jenny Church! ❤️🐴

Many of our Oak Ridge families already know Mrs. Church, as she has been a valued teacher and substitute at ORE since 2019! This year, she will be stepping into an important role as the long-term substitute in 1st grade for Mrs. Parrish. With 16 years of experience in education and experience teaching multiple grade levels, Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine love for helping students learn and grow. We are grateful to have someone who already knows and loves our C**t community stepping into this role!
