United Way of Anderson, Campbell, Morgan & Scott Counties has announced its 2026 Impact Grant application process for new and returning nonprofit organizations providing Health & Senior Services programming in Anderson and Campbell counties.

The three-year funding cycle is designed to support programs addressing the needs of older adults and broader health challenges affecting individuals and families throughout every stage of life.

Current partner organizations operating on a one-year funding cycle in any United Way focus area may also reapply for an additional year of support within their respective focus area.

Organizations planning to apply must attend the mandatory applicant meeting on September 17, 2026, from 9:00–11:30 a.m.

Application timeline

September 17 — Mandatory applicant meeting
October 5 — Online application opens
November 2 — Part 1 deadline
November 20 — Selected applicants receive access to Part 2
December 18 — Part 2 deadline and annual reports due

The grant review process will take place in early 2027, with funding recipients announced in March 2027.

Connecting Our Community to Help

Sometimes the hardest part of getting help is knowing where to start.

United Way of Anderson County joined community organizations at the International Overdose Awareness Day event hosted by ASAP in Oak Ridge with an information and education table designed to help people learn about resources available throughout our community.

Events like this are an important part of our role. United Way serves as a connection hub—helping individuals and families find the agencies, nonprofits, programs, and services that can provide the support they need.

International Overdose Awareness Day also provided an opportunity to remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, support their families and loved ones, and connect community members with prevention, recovery, mental health, and other resources.

Whether someone needs help today or simply wants to know what resources are available, United Way is here to help make that connection.

🍂 Atomic Fall Fest is back — and United Way will be there!

Join us on September 12, 2026, for the second annual Atomic Fall Fest in Oak Ridge. Look for the United Way of Anderson, Campbell, Morgan & Scott Counties table next to Altrusa and Rotary as we come together to support the Peace Pole Project.

In partnership with Rotary and Altrusa, we’re helping work toward an inspiring goal: 250 Peace Poles erected in recognition of America’s 250th Anniversary, each carrying the message:

🕊️ “May Peace Prevail on Earth.”

While you’re there, enjoy everything Atomic Fall Fest has to offer — live music, local artists and craft vendors, food trucks, community booths, and a FREE kids zone filled with inflatables, magicians, face painting, games, and more.

United Way of Anderson, Campbell, Morgan & Scott Counties is preparing to open the 2026 Impact Grant application process for new and returning nonprofit organizations providing Health & Senior Services programming in Anderson and Campbell counties.

Food insecurity continues to affect families throughout Campbell County, but local organizations are working together every day to make sure help is available.

At our August 26 Campbell County Roundtable, we heard from Catholic Charities’ Crazy Quilt Regional Pantry, Food Life Services, and Second Harvest/Harvesting Hope about the growing need for food assistance and the partnerships helping meet that need.

🥫 Crazy Quilt serves approximately 1,295 clients and is using a client-choice pantry model that allows families to select the foods they need.

🥕 Food Life Services serves approximately 250 clients using donated and rescued food, supported by a growing network of volunteers.

🎒 Second Harvest’s Food for Kids Backpack Program serves more than 600 Campbell County students, while summer feeding programs provided more than 10,000 meals this summer.

One thing was clear across all three presentations: more people are reaching out for help, including people seeking assistance for the first time.

We are grateful for the organizations, volunteers, farmers, businesses, and community partners working together to fight hunger in Campbell County.
