Strong nonprofits do not happen by accident. They require informed, thoughtful leaders who understand governance, accountability, strategy, and community impact. This cohort brings together emerging and established professionals to learn directly from respected local executives, attorneys, financial leaders, nonprofit professionals, and governance experts while building meaningful community connections along the way.

This week, our United Way of Anderson County team attended the Tennessee Financial Wellness Scorecard Summit in Oneida, TN, co-hosted by Senator Ken Yager and Representative Kelly Keisling.

The summit brought together legislators, educators, financial institutions, local leaders, chambers of commerce, and nonprofit organizations to focus on strengthening financial wellbeing across Tennessee communities.

Presentations from the TN Financial Literacy Commission, State Treasurer David H. Lillard, Jr., and the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research at UT highlighted statewide and local data, areas of progress, and opportunities to expand financial literacy education for students.

Through roundtable discussions, community leaders worked together to map resources and identify solutions that support long-term financial stability for families and future generations.

At United Way of Anderson County, weโ€™re proud to work alongside partners like Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services and Helen Ross McNabb Center who are providing critical mental health services across our region.

Because no one should have to face lifeโ€™s challenges alone.
