Each year, the Morris County School Boards Association recognizes one student from each high school with the Unsung Hero Award. This award honors students whose character, resilience, kindness, service, and quiet leadership have made a meaningful difference in their school communities, particularly those students whose contributions may not always receive traditional recognition.
This year, I am honored to announce that the JTHS recipient of this award is Mr. Pablo Danilo Pineda Galicia.
If you have ever had the opportunity to meet Pablo, you quickly recognize the positive impact he has on those around him. Throughout his high school career, Pablo has worked to build meaningful relationships within our school community while continuing to develop his English language skills and proficiency. He has embraced opportunities to get involved, including joining our Robotics Team, where he worked alongside his peers to design an original robot and compete against other schools across New Jersey. Pablo is also a dedicated student who consistently strives to engage in the learning process, challenge himself, and continue growing both academically and personally.
Perhaps most importantly, Pablo is an exceptional peer and classmate. He exemplifies our Falcon Pride values of empathy and inclusivity, consistently demonstrating kindness, patience, and a willingness to help others. He has been particularly supportive of his peers in our multilingual program, helping them navigate a new school, culture, and set of circumstances. Pablo understands the importance of making others feel welcome and included, and he leads by example through the way he treats those around him. His willingness to support others, build connections, and contribute to our school community speaks volumes about his character.
I can think of no better representative of JTHS for this recognition. Pablo embodies what it means to be a Falcon, and I am incredibly proud to see his efforts, character, and contributions recognized through this well-deserved honor.
Pablo and his family will be honored at the 5th Annual Unsung Hero Awards Banquet at Pequannock Township High School in March. Please join me in congratulating Pablo on this outstanding achievement and thanking him for the many ways he continues to make a positive difference in our school and community.
