📝🐺⭐️ End-of-Year Notes:
Last week, Campus Safety and many Staffulty members celebrated the wonderful Ms. Margaret, the beloved crossing guard at the Main Entrance. She always has a smile on her face and an encouraging word to share, so on her last day of the school year during finals week, we presented her with a giant thank-you card signed by many Staffulty members and a bouquet of flowers.

🎨🖌️🖼️ We are thrilled to celebrate the 2026 Karl Krafft Visual Art Scholarship award winners!

These three seniors were selected by the Fine & Applied Arts faculty based on the strength of their art portfolios. One piece from each student’s portfolio will be framed and displayed in the hallway near the Staff Cafeteria.

Artist Statement: Over many years of making art, one thing has consistently inspired and fueled my creativity: dreams. Their strange imagery and vivid colors shape the way I create, and I hope to further develop these ideas until they accurately express the concepts within my unconscious mind.

Artist Statement: I create art as not only an expression but a form of identity and activism. My artwork is derived from my identity as a Meztiza young woman, meaning my colonized and indigenous blood; my grandfather is Raramuri, which influenced so many of my pieces, I’ve been immersed and loved by such a beautiful history, I want to celebrate it. I do through art, and I use my pieces as a form of activism against the misogyny and gender violence within Latin America.
Art is a reflection of who I am.
