IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS WEEKEND'S PACK 16 CAMPOUT
π²βΊπ²
WHATSAPP GROUP:
In an effort to streamline some of our communications both den and Pack events, weβre attempting to use a WhatsApp Community as a supplemental tool to share news, information, den highlights, etc. Once you are approved to join the larger community, please request to join your relevant Den Chats and the group for the May 2025 campout. (We'll still be checking the Pack email during the campout.) Please note, this is a closed group so photos of activities are not publicly shared, they are only visible by other members of this WhatsApp community.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING:
Camp Lowden
4418 Scout Road
Oregon, IL 61061
Google Maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Utk6i2Wd79kTxFGC9
You MUST park in the parking lot and carry your gear to the campsites. Do NOT attempt to drive to the campsite. The campsites are a short walk - not a long hike - from the parking lot. If you have a collapsible / folding wagon you may want to bring it to transport your gear, but it is in no way necessary.
CHECK-IN:
All campers should check-in with their den leaders to receive instructions before setting up their tent as we have multiple campsites reserved. Please proceed to the Frontiersman Campsite just south of the parking lot to check-in before unloading all of your gear. Your den may be setting up at a different campsite. (See Camp Lowden Map at: https://www.camplowden.org/map/cbh9p22bqn6suxlgem796w5tdiuxvn)
HEALTH FORMS:
You MUST have a completed BSA health and medical record form for each camping participant (Scouts, siblings, and adults). If you went on the October 2024 campout we likely already have a valid health form for you. If not, please print out completed forms to be turned in at check-in.
FAMILIES OF 5TH GRADE SCOUTS WHO ARE CROSSING OVER:
Your scout will receive a special plaque as part of the ceremony. These handmade plaques are 2' long and made from pine wood that can be damaged if not handled carefully. Please bring a towel, blanket, packing paper, etc. to safely transport your scout's plaque home after the campout.
PROHIBITED ITEMS:
Do not bring pets, fi****ms, bows, ammunition of any kind, alcohol, to***co products, or clothing / items featuring drugs, alcohol, to***co products, or vulgar language.
