Caring Together, Living Better

Caring Together, Living Better Provide services to support family caregivers in the West Suburbs! Please meet our current partners!

Caring Together, Living Better (CTLB) is a grassroots program encompassed by a network of faith-based and community organizations specifically located in the West suburban Cook County area dedicated to supporting African American and Hispanic/Latinx caregivers of adults over 60. CTLB was first established in the southern suburbs and was replicated in the West Suburbs (where it continues to grow).

Partnering with faith-based and community organizations allows us to provide assistance at no cost to caregivers. Cicero Area Project:

November is Family Caregiver Month. We honor the more than 2.2 million family caregivers in Illinois who dedicate their time, compassion and energy to supporting older adults and people with disabilities. Your care helps loved ones live with dignity and thrive as they age.

Thank you for all you do!

This month, we pause to honor and recognize family caregivers who devote their time and energy to supporting a family member or friend with their activities of daily living.

National Family Caregivers Month is a time to celebrate caregivers for their love and resilience while also raising awareness about the unique challenges they face throughout the caregiving journey.

Caregiving can be extremely rewarding but not without stress and caregivers deserve care, too!

Visit https://www.ageoptions.org/resources/find-services-in-your-neighborhood/ and select Caregiver Resource Center for support near you.

Are you a caregiver? Do you regularly assist neighbors by picking up groceries? Do you help family members with errands like driving them to medical appointments? Have you assumed responsibilities for a parent or spouse? If you've answered "yes", you are a caregiver. Today, we honor you and other unsung heroes!

We invite you to become a part of our 24/7 caregiver online resource for support and resources at https://hubs.ly/Q037CMfQ0
