Since 1931, the Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest has been a community cultural mainstay. With a three-part mission to offer live symphonic music, provide performance opportunities for musicians, and foster an appreciation of classical music in the young, the symphony continues to strike a chord in our community! Considering donating to the OPRF Community Foundation? Here’s a benefit you may not know about. Under the Illinois Gives tax credit program, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) made to a permanent endowment fund maintained by the Foundation earn state tax credits of up to 25%. What’s more, you can transfer up to $111,000 per year directly from your IRA to a qualified charity without counting the distribution as taxable income!

To learn more, speak with your financial or tax advisor, or reach out to Development Director Brian Biederman at [email protected] or (708) 848-1560. Let’s work together to help the West Cook County region—and your donation—prosper and thrive!

The Foundation is proud to announce the creation of the Allan O. Baldwin Memorial Fund, a collaboration with Ms. Jan Baldwin of Oak Park. The fund will benefit Oak Park’s celebrated Hemingway Foundation. Ms. Baldwin created the endowment to honor her husband’s work as a volunteer and former chairman of that organization, and to sustain its mission. Learn more about the fund at the linked article!
