Join us all summer long for FREE family fun at Art in the Park every Tuesday from 10:00am–12:00pm at Autumn Hills Park! 🌿🎨

This summer is filled with hands-on art experiences, bubble parties, fairy fun, theater performances, music, crafts, Mud Day, and so much more.

The first event in Oak Park Heights’ Summer Art in the Park Series is almost here!

Join us on Tuesday, June 2 at Autumn Hills Park for a morning of creativity and laughter.

-Free craft activity begins at 10:00 AM
-Bring Your Kids! Comedy Show starts at 11:00 AM

This fun-filled event is perfect for children and their grown-ups, and it’s completely free!

UPDATE: We had a limited number of fairy house kits, and they have all been picked up. You may still participate by creating your own fairy or gnome house or garden by using a kit from a craft store or from materials found in your own backyard. Stop by City Hall for a participation form and information on submitting your own creation to be included in the the art installation.

🧚‍♀️ Fairies in the Park is Back! 🧚‍♂️

The fairy house kits are officially ready for pickup at Oak Park Heights City Hall!

Each free kit includes a wooden fairy house for you to decorate using natural materials, paint, and your own magical imagination. Finished creations will be displayed along the Fairies in the Park trail this summer for the entire community to enjoy.

✨ Important Dates:
• Pick up your free kit at Oak Park Heights City Hall
• Return your completed fairy house between July 1–23
• Final deadline: Friday, July 24 at 12:00 PM
• Pick up your creation after the installation ends on Sunday, August 2
Please note: If you pick up a free fairy house kit, you are agreeing to return your completed creation to be included in this year’s art installation.

We can’t wait to see the magic our community creates!

Transit Link On-Demand now offers affordable rides within Stillwater and Oak Park Heights. This is a door-to-door service, and can take you anywhere you want to go, within the Stillwater and Oak Park Heights community. Take rides to places like: Cub, Target, City Hall, Walmart, Lakeview Hospital, Health Partners Clinic, the Washington County Government Center, Lowell Park, and more.

Anyone can ride! Buses hold up to 14 people and are wheelchair and ADA accessible.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $3.50 per ride (pay with Go-To Card or cash on the bus)

Metropolitan Mosquito Control District began their field season this week. You may see MMCD trucks, helicopters, drones, and staff in neighborhoods, parks, and near wetlands. This year they have new bright yellow “Public Health Mosquito Control” safety vests that all staff will be wearing when working outdoors.

Mosquito control activity is officially underway for 2026! Seasonal field staff began work today and will be out in neighborhoods and parks wearing brightly colored safety vests that say "Public Health Mosquito Control." Helicopter activity is likely to begin next week.
