Tomorrow evening, the world-famous 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗪𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 are coming to town to take on our very own 𝗢𝗮𝗸 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀! In our minds, there's no bigger legend than the 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁: 𝗠𝗿. 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵! These superstars will join with other teachers from around the district to take on the visitors!

What a fantastic morning at the 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗮 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁! 🌻🎉

Our garden is officially ready for the season, thanks in no small part to the incredible turnout of families and staff who came out to lend a hand. Seeing parents, students, and community members working side by side was truly inspiring. Together, we weeded and nutrient-boosted all 𝟯𝟲 garden beds!

Because of that hard work, we were able to plant a massive variety of plants, including tomatoes, beans, peas, cucumbers, peppers, onions, basil, cilantro, and so much more! 🍅🥒 We also set up trellises and bamboo poles to help the climbing plants thrive

✨ 𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
This year, we are thrilled to announce a new relationship with Smith Gardens Inc.! A huge thank you to this amazing Pacific NW company for providing hundreds of vegetable plants and herbs for today’s event through their "𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲" 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

We are so excited to continue working with 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 to provide our students with hands-on horticulture and gardening lessons. It’s about more than just plants—it’s about growing the next generation of green thumbs! 🌱🎓

♾️🌈April is Autism & Neurodiversity Acceptance Month! Hillcrest Elementary is proud of the neurodiversity of our students, staff, and community. At Hillcrest, we are proud to provide learning environments that help each student reach their individual potential. Tomorrow, we are celebrating the diverse spectrum of the human brain by wearing tie-dye or rainbow colors.

💜🎖 🧒🏽⚓ April is the Month of the Military Child! 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟱! Heron students and staff are encouraged to wear purple to show their support for our Hillcrest military kids and all military kids in our community. 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 near the school entrance this week!
