In accordance with an order issued by President Donald J. Trump, the United States flag shall be flown at half-staff in honor and remembrance of Dolly Parton, the legendary American singer, songwriter, actress, philanthropist, and humanitarian.

Dolly Parton passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80. Her extraordinary career and lifelong commitment to music, education, literacy, and charitable causes touched the lives of millions of Americans and people around the world.

As a mark of respect for her remarkable life and enduring contributions to American culture, all appropriate flags shall be lowered to half-staff beginning 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and shall remain at half-staff through sunset on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, pursuant to the President's proclamation.

Members of the public are encouraged to join in this solemn observance and to reflect upon the extraordinary legacy of Dolly Parton.

May her memory and contributions continue to inspire generations to come.

Tomorrow is the first day with all of our students on campus! Please slow down, stay alert, and watch carefully for students and families in and around the school zone.

**Please remember: No one should be lining up in the turn lane for pickup prior to 3:10 p.m.** Please do not block the turn lane or create unnecessary traffic congestion before that time.

Allow extra time for drop-off and pick-up, follow all traffic signs and directions from school staff.

**Please put the phone down while driving. The safety of our children is more important than your phone! If you are caught using your phone while driving in the school zone, you will be cited. No exceptions.**

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a unanimous declaration was made that changed the course of history. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence proclaimed the birth of a nation and boldly stated, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we honor the vision, courage, and sacrifices of the generations who helped build and preserve this nation. Let us continue striving to uphold the principles that have shaped our history while looking toward the future with strength, hope, and faith, remembering that we are One Nation Under God.
