At Oak Grove R-VI, we can never show enough appreciation for the educators who invest their time, talent, and heart into our students each day. Their dedication, passion, and commitment to student success are the foundation of our district and the reason so many students achieve their full potential.

We are proud to recognize the inaugural recipients of the All-District Teacher Awards, a new program celebrating educators whose students demonstrated exceptional academic growth in Reading and Mathematics. Thanks to the partnership of Bank of Odessa–Oak Grove–La Monte and the Oak Grove School District Foundation, each recipient received a gift basket and a $100 award and will be honored at Convocation with a classroom banner displayed throughout the school year.

Board of Education June 2026 Meeting Recap

The Oak Grove R-VI Board of Education met in June to recognize outstanding student and staff achievements, review district handbook updates, approve the preliminary 2026-2027 budget, and receive updates on district construction projects.

Highlights included recognizing state track medalists, celebrating the Career Ladder Program and inaugural All-District Teacher Award recipients, approving the Class of 2027 graduation date, and reviewing progress on district facility improvements.

There will be no regular Board of Education meeting in July. However, the Oak Grove Board of Education and the City of Oak Grove will hold a collaborative meeting on Monday, July 13, at 6:00 p.m. at Oak Grove City Hall to discuss shared interests and strengthen community partnerships.

Yesterday, the Oak Grove R-VI School District hosted local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, emergency management personnel, and community partners for a successful Multi-Jurisdictional Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Training Exercise.

These valuable training opportunities strengthen relationships, improve communication, and enhance preparedness among all agencies dedicated to keeping our students, staff, and community safe.
