It's Banned Books Week, and we're hosting a contest exclusive to our Facebook followers! 🏆

To enter this contest, put your answer to the question located at the end of this post in the comments below AND be sure to use the hashtag . One lucky winner will receive a free, 500-piece puzzle called “Bibliophile: Banned Books” from Chronicle Books. Our librarians even counted all 500 pieces to ensure you get a complete picture:

“With over 65 banned books colorfully illustrated, this puzzle comes with a handy reading checklist and information from PEN America on how to fight book bans, so you can be inspired to resist the pushback and read them all for yourself.”

The winner will be selected at random and announced on Monday, October 12th. Good luck!

The question is… What is your favorite banned book?

The Library’s outdoor book drop and drive thru will be closed October 4-8 because of maintenance.

To make things easier for our patrons, Oak Creek Library items will not be due during the closure. Yes, this means that we are pushing back due dates until after the book drop drive thru reopens. 👍

If desired, you can still return items via the indoor book drop during the Library's regular hours of operation.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR OUR FOLLOWERS!

Facebook has rolled out a new subscription-based model for all business pages, including non-profits like the Oak Creek Public Library.

We are working out the details about how to move forward under these restrictions.

Until a plan is in place, please note that we are now limited to posting two links per month. You can always find our website listed in the Details section, even if we can no longer provide you with links to specific online services or information. We hope for a speedy resolution! Thank you for your understanding.
